o.k. I know it's been close for a long time but does anyone know of any where like it in the area that would be alright to drag along 2 teenagers:confused:
I am really into country music and would love to have an evening with this as in mind.p.s. I know there are restaurants like wild jacks or the longhorn but that is not what i had in mind, any suggestions:bounce:  :Pinkbounc

Sorry Tony, I have no idea

Can anyone help?

I think the Dolly Parton Dixiestampede is supposed to have opened in late May this year - dinner show format I think, but no alcohol being Dolly's place.

Can anyone confirm this is open? Has anyone been to this?

..... I've just checked out the website and you can order tix on-line I think.

I don't know how much of the show is music -

Dixie Stampede is not really something with much audience participation (other than shouting ;) ). The nightclub 08:Seconds would be ideal, but they don't allow under-21s, unfortunately. You might be better off at the Catch Pen Saloon at the Kissimmee Rodeo on Hoagland Boulevard. They do line dancng lessons on a Sunday evening (6-8) and have live C&W after the rodeo each Friday (around 10pm).

Here is a link to the Orlando Sentinel website list of C&W venues (I'm afraid I can't vouch for many!):

Thanks Simon I will try to drag the family along to the Rodeo. I have always wanted to go but dw is a little anti.
I am surprised Disney or Universal haven't really got it covered???
P.S. we LOVE the book it is always used in the holiday planning
P.P.S. do you know why they closed th Wild Horse Saloon?????

Try the Lone Star in Lake Buena Vista which is right next to the Holiday Inn Sunspree.
Sawdust on the floor, spit buckets - the full works

Cheers
Are they o.k. with under eighteens?????
sounds write up my street

Be aware the Lone Star is purely a steakhouse (albeit a good one). There is no live music or dancing here, which I think is what you're looking for Tony.

The Wild Horse Saloon at PI just never really caught on, surprisingly. I guess tourists don't want to hear what they get a steady diet of anyway in the US, so it hardly ever got busy and Disney closed it pretty quickly when it seemed like a dead duck. It is now the less stylised but more mainstream (and busy) Motion nightclub, with top 40 sounds, DJs and videos.
