Wild Africa Trek weight restriction question?

I have seen 2 different maximum weight restrictions, 300 lbs and 310 pounds. One of our group is right at the 300 pound mark, and I want to make sure he can do the safari. Does anyone know if the restriction is 300 or 310, and does the weight include the harness, and if so how much would that add?
Also, are they fairly strict at enforcement?

I would call disney.

It's with harness I am pretty sure and the harness is probably 5-10 lbs. I would call and get how harsh they are. You do have to step on a scale so they can see your weight.

It's 300 lbs with all safety gear on. They're very strict with enforcement and all guests will be weighed in prior to being issued a harness.

Try to inform the person without judging and let them know how strict it is. If it's in the morning just avoid a big dinner and try to avoid liquids until after being weighed I suppose. If he's on the edge that should make him safe.

FYI they are very strict on the weight, I know a couple who went and the husband was not able to do the tour because he was just a few pounds over with the gear on. He's motivated to make the weight later this year though

How long do you have until your trip? I'm wondering if he wouldn't have time to do some sort of cleanse for a few days so he can drop some water/junk weight real quick. I know those diets aren't good for long term weight loss, but it might be enough to push him under 300 to be able to do this (and who knows, it might kick start a full diet)

I think I'd be nervous to do it if I was that close to the limit.
