Im guessing this thread will set me apart in the category of no life. Does anyone else look in Wikipedia about a tv series there watching. I do, find out how many episodes were made, how old everyone is, are they still alive, any real life crisis the stars have had....., you really could get lost for an hour of so gathering so much useless information

:lmao: I just did this tonight!! Well, actually made my dd look up Golden Girls because I was curious how old 'Blanche' was when the show was on.

really, if you got your computer handing that could be a interesting, just for the record Golden Girls and Empty Nest were suppose to be neighbors

All the time! But I also use www.imdb.com all the time, too, for cast lists, etc.

We were watching A View to a Kill the other night. I looked him up while we were watching and Roger Moore will be 85 this year . He's even older than Sean Connery. He looked old in A View to a Kill which was in 1985. I liked him, but I'm glad they retired him as James Bond after that.

I've done it several times, usually to confirm where I may have seen someone before (i.e during the season premiere of Doctor Who I spotted the actor who plays Sterling on Leverage).

I'm another IMDBer...love it! It happens at least once a week where I get "lost" on that website, clicking from movie to actor to tv show, etc etc.

thats a good site, but wikkipedia will tell you if actor went crazy, had a bunch of arrest or stuff like that, but yes its fun to click from show, to actor

I'll sometimes refer to wikipedia for things here and there, but IMDB does link news stories to the different actors pages...I can gather some good info there, but I mostly check to see if someone is alive or not. Or if they are doing anything now. :)

All the time. Especially on series - I do it so I can decide if I want to invest in watching the whole series or maybe I'll watch a couple, read a synopsis for several episodes, then watch the finale. :happytv:

I use IMDB as well as Wikipedia to do what you're describing! I think it's fun!

I find that I will Wiki one thing, then end up on a whole different tangent

Since my obsession for the Sopranos is so late and intense, I watch the show while reading the wiki episode guide. It's hard to keep up!! :thumbsup2

Yes.

I used to really like imdb, but they changed...a lot of the info they used to have on the regular site seems to be hidden on the pay-site now...

always - and to find out 'where did I see that person"? "When was this show on?"
