We r going to wdw n nov before hand we r flyin into Tampa stay 1 or 2 nights at clear water beach but was wondering how much time wws would take. With 6 yr old girl and almost 3 yr old girl.
We lived in central FL for over 5 years and went to Weeki Wachee Springs (sp?) one time. After years of going to Disney and many trips to the various beaches in FL, I wouldn't have bothered going back.
It was truly a disappointment for us.
Bear in mind that we are adults (60's) and we went there to meet a friend who also lived in FL and she was going with a group. It would not have been something we'd do on our own.
It's interesting. The boat rides are nice. There's a swimming area but we didn't do that. The mermaid show is interesting but I wouldn't go just for that. If I could have had a couple days at Clearwater, that would have tickled me pink! And in spite of being able to go to Disney any and every day, I'd have chosen that or the beach over WW.
My oldest daughter is total n to mermaids so show and boat ride prob all we do. Nov water park prob closed and to cold for us lol. I. A warm water wimp lol. I would go cave diving in spring but no one else could so that is out.
I have been there when I was 15 20 plus years ago thought show was ok remember it at least lol. Do thik girls will love it though. Just wondered if should be like after noon thing or all day?
Unless you're going to spend a great deal swimming in the springs (and it's really cold), 1/2 a day is plenty. My daughter who thinks she's Ariel, went when she was 7 and loved it, but it's a little run down.

Run Down? How could that be. I went there with my parents in 1963, it seemed nice then. Just kidding, I don't remember anything about it except the mermaid show. It is altogether possible that it was all they had back then. Seemed the same at Silver Springs. All I remember is the glass bottom boats, nothing else. I was 15 at the time so my memory could easily be stuck between boredom and looking at young ladies. Probably why I remember the mermaids.
