Wii Rock Band??

Okay, I know I'm late in joining the rock band craze but.....

I don't really like the look of the people on the Rock Band stuff, so I figured my best bet would be the Beatles version...plus all the kids LOVE the Beatles. Problem is...where do I get it? I need the whole rock band thing - not just the game....and I don't want to spend 300+ for it...!!

Am I out of luck? Any suggestions?

Wow, I had no idea the full set for Beatles Rock band was still running that much. My advice would be to go to Amazon and buy Rock Band 2 in a bundle ($113) and then buy the Beatles software only ($20) and just don't give them the Rock Band 2 disc. Basically buy the Rock Band 2 bundle JUST for the instruments.

(Wait, never mind. that was the xbox version that was $113. I see the Wii version is stil over $200. What in the world? We bought Rock band 1 and got our instruments then, and I think we paid $150 for it brand new.)

As near as I've been able to determine, Rock Band bundles for Wii are no longer available. I was going to buy one for my nieces, but have had no luck. You might want to consider Band Hero. That's what I'm looking in to.

Amazon has them, but it's over $200. (You'd basically have to buy a Rock band 2 bundle and then buy LEGO or Beatles rock band if you wanted something more family-friendly, and not give them the RB2 disc)

The other option is to ask around family and friends if anyone's kids have gotten tired of it and want to sell their instruments. Or Craigslist.

I bought mine in a Beatles bundle when it first came out for $250, it came with the drums, a special edition wireless guitar and wireless mic. I already had guitar hero for wii so I didn't need any extra guitars.

For some reason RB2 bundles for Wii are very hard to find and expensive when you do manage to find one. I managed to get mine just before the supply dried up and the prices skyrocketed. DH now wishes he bought a 2nd box to re-sell on ebay, but oh well!

We bought Wii Band Hero (the complete set) on Amazon for $110ish last summer, still haven't seen it lower around here even on clearance. Unless you HAVE to have the particular guitar that came with the Beatles, you may be better off just buying another version and and substituting the Beatles game.

There may be some deals for Black Friday. We found a Rock Band for $50 at Walmart. I have no idea if they had Wii versions as that isn't what we needed.

Also, look into buying the games at used places. We bought RB & RB2 at GameStop for under $20 each.

I have been searching like crazy trying to find the Beatles rockband for Wii & have had no luck!!! I can find the one for XBox360 & am wondering if I should just buy an Xbox???? (my head hurts!)

You can play all the Rock Band games with Band Hero equipment except Rock Band 1. We have both Lego Rock Band and the Beetles Rock Band games which work fine with our instruments. I would just look for the cheapest instrument set you can find, and purchase Lego or Beetles games seperately.

They are in the fact that you can play Rock Band with Guitar Hero instruments, but not the other way around. Rock Band guitars/drums are NOT compatible to play Guitar Hero. Band Hero is fairly "kid friendly" where as some of the other GH games are a little more over the top metal. I'd also vote for the Lego Rock band game. It's the one my kids prefer and we have most of the GH and RB games. Rock Band also has a country music pack if that's your kind thing. My kids love country and were excited to finally have a game where they knew the songs before playing them. LOL

I recently bought a brand new rock band beatles off of craigslist for $125. So you might try that. ( that is a gift for the boyfriend's children). I recent had to replace my own rock band as it was breaking. I found 2 rock band 2's at Target. I bought one of them. When I was talking with a friend we fiqured the found them in a warehouse and I got lucky that they shipped them to my target. I have heard that they stopped making them in anticipation of rock band 3 (which I just got)

Target had one today at our store on Clearance. I did not check the price but they had the Wii one which kind of shocked me as I had never noticed it before.
