I need suggestions for Wii games ~ what are the hot new games?

DS13 ~ Doesn't really like the war/fighting games & has most of sports games already

DD8 ~ Likes pretty much everything, but gets frustrated easily if she can't figure it out.

Ideas?
TIA
:santa:

Mario Kart is GREAT. DH and I love it, too!

Rayman Rabbids is a lot of silly fun. We have a number of others, but these are our favorites. Oh, DD14 loves Guitar Heroes, but I find it very frustrating.

Oops ~ Forgot to add DS13 has all the Rock Band, Guitar Hero games too. I'm sick of them to be honest.

My kids are asking for: Super Mario Bros. (I think this looks like alot of fun), Lego Indiana Jones (the second one, we have the first), Wii Sports Resort (they tried that one in Gamestop and loved it), Mario Kart, Boom Blox, and Toy Story Mania. Those are the ones they are getting, they've also asked for My Sims Agent, but I had to draw the line at one game per child (Boom Blox was an extra one).

Wii Sports Resort (they tried that one in Gamestop and loved it),

One of the kids mentioned this game, but I'm not convinced yet :confused3 I think it's basically the same as the games we already have? The game that came with the Wii & Wii Play already have golf, ping pong, bowling, etc. I seems too similar to me.

When DS played it in the store he played archery.

Okay, I just pulled it out and it says there are "12 new sports" and it shows archery, basketball, fencing and volleyball specifically.

If your kids like game shows we just bought Family Feud and Press Your Luck for Wii, too. They weren't gifts so we've already played them and my kids like them. My 8yo has had some trouble with the questions on Press Your Luck, though.

I know everyone likes Mario Kart, but I got my nephew My Sims Racing. I played it in a store and it was alot of fun. It's cheaper than Mario Kart and I thought very fun to play. I also agree about Boom Blox, I got that last year and the kids love it.

My DS-11 and DD-8

Fav games: These are the games that get played all the time
Mario KArt
Super smash Brothers
New Super Mario Bros. (We rented it. It is a lot of fun getting for gift)
Boom Blox
Carnival Games
Wii resort
Band Hero

Other games the enjoy"
My Sims Kingdom
Animal crossing
Mario Galaxy
Star wars legos
Smooth moves (they just take turns)
Ravin Rabbids games

Super Mario Bothers Wii - fantastic, truly two-to-four player (if you want), all the fun of the old classic marios but with nicer graphics, new challenges, etc. Love it.

Lego Indiana Jones is both fun and hilarious. We prefer the original over the new one based on a week rental of the new one, but maybe we just needed more time with it. Still fun, it just didn't seem to flow and was kind of weird the way it was setup.

The Mario and Sonic at the Olympics games are pretty fun.

Just rented Lego Rock Band for my 10 yr DD, thought it would turn her off on it. She LOVES it, she's playing it right now, again!! I thought it was to much like the Music game, wrong. Did Santa get it, no.

Mario Cart is by far her favorite.

We will have to try the Wario one.

New Super Mario Bros. Wii - one of the best Wii games ever. Also, the Lego games (Star Wars, Indiana Jones & Batman) are lots of fun for up to 2 players. For your daughter, maybe Animal Crossing: City Folk. It's really easy but completely addictive. Only one person can play at a time, but up to four people can create characters. (And it isn't just fun for girls, so your son might even enjoy it also.)

I have to ditto the Mario Kart and Toy Story.

They may also like Animal Crossing. You really can't do anything wrong in that game. If lives in real time, you have a little house you can decorate, fish, bug hunt, plant trees and flowers. Warning: It can be very addictive. As a bonus, they can also play online and visit other AC towns.

If your daughter is 8, then she still may like Barbies??? My DD7 just got the Barbie 3 Musketeers for her birthday and I even like playing it. Not too difficult to figure out.

Mine LOVE littlest pet shop ones.

You can also play the old Nintendo Game Cube games on the Wii. Gamestop's have a ton of those (used) in stock

Mario Kart for sure. Not many games that can interest a 39 yo man and a 6 yo girl! My dd6 loves it!

We rented Toy Story Mania to see if we liked it and we did, so we are getting it for Christmas. Was easy to figure out and fun to play!

We have Mario and Sonic at the olympics which I really like too, but does require a little more skill.

The "most played" here are the Rayman games, especially the 2nd one. They also love the Lego games. Age range here is 6-14 for the kids.

We really like Wii Sports Resort. DS14 and I like archery and basketball the best. Swordplay speed slice and duel are fun too.
