Wii Game System

We got ours today to put away for Christmas for the kids at Walmart. We had to buy an extra controller and an extra num-chuck.
Glad we got it!!! I can't wait to try it out:rotfl:

Walmart ( Ancaster) had 12 this morning when I called.

By the time I got there there was 8 left . By the time I checked out another 3 people were in line behind me with them.
WOW..

It's in their flyer for this weekend so I'm sure they are holing some back for tomorrow...
Hope that helps someone out.

I've seen the wii play game in lots of places now for $49.99.

We picked up a Wii at Zellers this morning. They had a bundle advertised in the flyer that included the system and Mario Party 8. I think they had about 9 or 10 when we were there just after opening. I want to open it up and try it out. Need to make sure it works right? :rotfl2:

That is my biggest challenge - waiting until Christmas to play the darned thing!! I actually was at the Best Buy in Leaside this morning and they had 1 Wii for sale for $269.99.

What would be the starting age for the WII?? My girls are four and six ... are they too young still? I bought dd a Nintendo DS for her birthday in March. I did see some WII at our local Walmart (Orillia), but two big boys (ahem ... about 30ish) were buying them. Are there young kid games? (I"m clueless about this :) ... is it more for boys than girls?

My kids are 5, 7 and 9 and they are getting it. We got ours in Sept. My Mom was at Walmart one day and they had 6 and she went back 2 days later and they were all gone. She hi tailed it to Zellers that weekend when they showed up in their flyer. We got the Wii and extra controller and nunchuk for 309. Thought that was pretty good. Not sure if I should just have the 2 controllers to start and take turns and just focus on the games. I think we will be getting the new star wars lego game (complete saga). The description says it is legos 1 and 2 together but I wonder if there is something new on it (we already have the individual games), Pokemon and a game my older dd will like (not sure yet).

I love Nintendo products because a majority of the games are geared towards kids and not teens/adults (although a lot of them still play them). They are usually less violent and more family friendly. :) My boys play Nintendo games and they are 7 and 9 and have a good handle on the games (my youngest is actually better than my oldest and myself in some of the games lol). They have been playing the Nintendo products for a couple of years now so a 4 and 6 year old should get the hang of the games pretty easily.

I finally got mine! I got to Toys-R-Us 30 minutes before they opened on Sunday and was the last one to get a ticket. They'd gotten 15 in. The first woman in line had been standing there since 5:00 AM.

The Target on the other side of the Mall had gotten in 75. Their line reached way out into the parking lot.

Wow - sure am glad I got one a while ago then!! Didn't realise it would be SUCH a hot item again this year!!

Wii picked ours up about 2 months ago at EB Games for 269.99. Ordered HSM2 from costco and it took about 3 weeks. Also bought Happy Feet on ebay and saved about $7 with front door delivery. That took about 2 1/2 weeks to arrive from good old Fla. I think I'm more excited than the kids will be when they open it. At our trip to WDW for Halloween, Innoventions had a couple displays that my DW and I tried our skills on. Boy do I stink. God Luck to everyone finding one for Christmas.

The Walmart in our area - Goderich, has had them in stock for the last few months and have not ran out. I just went in and picked mine up the other day.

I had tried in the summer and no luck at all - they were always sold out.

Maybe this store got there act together and is keeping them in stock.
