and not sure if they will issue rain-checks as who knows when they will get another shipment. Also, not sure if all Rogers stores are doing this or not but one took my name and number to put it on a waiting list and will call me when they get in. I was glad to see my name within 15

Another option my be to pre-order it.
I was just on the EBgames website, and they will take pre-orders on upcoming releases as well as some current ones.
Might be worth a shot.

I phoned our local Shopper's Drug Mart to see if they would have Wii Fit on Saturday morning, since it was in the flyer. The person I spoke to said it was unlikely they were going to have any more in before Christmas. I think they are using the ad to draw people into the store, since it doesn't sound too likely they will have any to sell this week. (notice that the ad didn't have a guaranteed number per store or anything like that)

DH and I had a discussion last night about whether it was worth getting up at 4:30am to be in line at Superstore for 6:00am when they opened. (they had minimum 10 per store) After talking about it, we decided that we aren't excited enough about it to stand in line any more. (I already tried twice, with about an hour and a bit expended) We have Wii Sports, Wii Play, Guitar Hero World Tour, and a few other games to play, that will all be new on Christmas. We're going to wait for Wii Fit.

ferris, do you have wii fit? I've only heardm, but good things & want to try it.

I persnally don't have it but my friend does.
It not a weight loss program, but it does do a few exercises. It does jogging on the spot, that type of thing.
If you are hoping to cancel your gym membership forget it.

I tried 4 Shoppers around here today...one location had 4 in only and they were snapped up fast. The others either had a "few" or none. They will not issue rain checks as this is not their usual stock. They all said though that they WILL be getting more in before Christmas. Whether or not this is the case??

Certain games in the Wii Fit are fun - like the soccer and the boxing game. The strength training and yoga exercises are annoying because you can only do one set at a time before you have to start over again. The jogging game is silly. It's a cute set up but definitely not the same as working out in the gym
