I picked up a new Red Wii Bundle yesterday at ToysRUs ($199 - $20 Reward dollars + free Mario/Sonic Winter Olympics game). I've got 2 kids (11 and 8) who will get this Christmas morning. Looks like the bundle comes with 1 controller and 1 nunchuck, Wii Sports and Super Mario Brothers.

What else do I need to make this a Merry Christmas? I figure another remote, but I need recommendations on what to get. What about cables to connect it to a TV (component or HDMI)?

Also, does anyone have/enjoy the Toy Story Mania game for Wii?

I need your advice on what else I really need for 2 kids to get the most out of the system. :goodvibes

My DD9 loves Wii Ski, Sports Resort.

Check to see if any games you want to play need the nunchuk. If so, stick to the Wii brand. We went with knockoffs to save money and ended up going out 2 weeks later to buy the original.

If budget allows, Wii Fit plus is great.

Rechargeable batteries and station. Ours holds 4 remotes. Consider 3 extra remotes. We loves playing as a family.

Dec. 12 the release of Super Mario All stars limited edition for around $30
dollars.

Sunday I bought the new Donkey Kong Returns and it is awesome.

Mario Kart is another fun one.

Today I bought a few games from Walmart.com 2 for $30

Wii head here, I'm going to help you out as much as possible.

For 2 kids, you'll definitely need another remote. Like CarlisleMom said, you'll only need the nunchuk if you purchase games that use it.

The system comes with all the necessary cables to plug in and start playing, but there are optional cables you can buy that will give you maximum video quality.

And yes, I have Toy Story Mania. It's certainly not the deepest game on the Wii, but it definitely is fun to pull out once in a while and fire away at the targets.

Merry Christmas, CaptainHypersock out.

We have had our wii for a few years so I will tell you what we have. 4 remotes, 4 nerf wheels, 2 nunchucks and about 15 games. Mario Kart is our families favorite for playing together. That uses the 4 remotes and wheels. Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 are my sons and husbands favorite and uses remotes with nunchucks, but only 2 can play at a time. I am enjoying Lego Harry Potter which again uses a remote and nunchuck and only 2 can play at a time.

I bought quite a few rechargeable batteries and a charger and have that plugged in most the time if we are playing the wii a lot.

It was a great gift and your kids will love it.

O, you mentioned Toy Story Mania. We have it and it is played very rarely. It is cute but not a favorite at all.

Toy Story certainly isn't like the Disneyland ride. It is the most confusing game of all. I was so excited to get it but it is such a disappointment!!
