Good Luck with your March of Dimes event. What a GREAT organization.
Our DD has done alot of catching up here lately. She turned 3 1/2 on March 23. She has always been smaller than everyone else, but is naturally a tall girl (39 in. as of yesterday). She is tall & skinny - she's NEVER had any of the "baby fat" most other babies have, and her legs have never been those cute little "chunks".

She was just over 20 lbs. at 2, and has reached almost 35 lbs. since then.
She hit most of her milestones about 2 months later than "normal" - which fit her adjusted age just right. The only thing that has been a little bit of a struggle has been her speech. She is doing better each day, though. Last summer she had her tonsils & adenoids removed, along with tubes put in her ears. We had no idea that she had so much fluid in her ears. All of that came at a really important "speech time". (Last year b/t Jan and June, she had 10 ear infections, and 7 streps - YIKES!!

) Anyway... since the surgery, her speech has improved greatly, but we are still working. She will be going to a really neat preschool next year at a local university that just happens to have a great speech clinic down the hall. She may not even need it, but it makes me feel good to know it is there.
How is your DD doing? She looks like a precious little girl. I am convinced that preemies have a unique "drive" that other kids don't have. Preemies have to be so strong to survive and thrive. I think it helps them to be that much more succesful in the things they do.
I'm glad to find another preemie mom out there. We need to stick together!
