whats the deal with internet access?

We have never taken a laptop with us, but need to on this trip...

do we have to pay at DVC resorts?

Do they all have wifi?

Whats the best way of going about this! Im clueless

No wifi but they do have ethernet high speed access.

If you are a DVC member then from some unspecified date this Spring it will be free. Otherwise it is $10 per 24 hour period.

we are surposed to get free internet spring(around now i think) at all dvc accomadation.
this was through a lan cable provided in room,previosly it was $10.99 per 24 hour period
If your staying at one of the convention dvc resorts (think only beach club at moment)you can get wifi were porided free as well if staying there on points

We got back yesterday from a stay at SSR and VWL and internet use was still chargeable at both resorts. I asked when this would change and was given the usual 'some time in the Spring' answer.

Ditto. We stayed at SSR and BCV last month expecting it to be free and were told that it had been put back to "Spring". To the OP - it's not wi-fi in the rooms. We've had varying success with the ethernet connection. We've had no problem at all at SSR, but have had limited access at BCV and BWV - no problem with the internet, but we've had difficulties with email access.

Saratoga Springs! We bought last year when we got married at Wilderness Lodge
We're staying there for the first time in Dec can't wait!
Never mind DLRP will do in the mean time

HI, we have just got back a couple of weeks ago, and were advised by the DVC rep on our sales visit that internet access would be free from March in all resorts (no date given in March tho), so if they are true to their word you should hopefully be ok.

To conect in room you will have a lan cable,which will fit into a jack in wall,and into your laptop.you will proberly have a logon screen but dont now about that.while your in the states disney will be your IP.to get to your e-mail accounts,just go to the home page of your home provider and log in on the page to access,for all outher stuf dis ect just type in address as normal.no need to go throught your IP from home
