I couldn't believe that their wasn't a thread on this today. Did anyone watch last night? (sad to say but I woke up in the middle of the night, upset about this stupid TV show)

Let me say that I know that the editing is so that what we see is biased. But...Michelle was the laziest, most selfish, unbelieveable person! She didn't participate in the swap at all. She was mean to Jay and didn't do anything. I loved Lynn, the other mom. She was so nice and tried to make a change in (I forget what the H name was)'s life. She didn't make fun of him for being overweight but tried to help him figure out what he needed to make a change. She really tried to help his self-esteem.

I hope that Michelle's H wakes up this morning and decides that he cannot let his wife control and belittle him. He was a nice guy and deserves better.

The swap for Lynn and Jay seems successful. Jay hopefully is more involved in his family. I think that the swap would have been more successful if Lynn hadn't sat on her butt all the time, telling Jay what to do. Also I don't believe for a minute that Michelle was sick during the swap, she was just lazy.

I was so dissapointed that the one husband didn't take the DJ job. I think it would have been so good for him & he seemed to really enjoy it. His wife was so lazy & selfish. I couldn't believe the way she just sat there & did nothing for 2 weeks. It is realy amazing to see how some people live.

I am convinced that the 'lazy' mom is in need of some serious psychological counseling. And the whole family needs family conseling. She is downright abusive in the way that she controls her husband. And did anyone else notice how much makeup their young dd had on when they returned for the update.

I really hope that when the 'lazy' mom saw herself on TV, it was a wake up call for her. But I kind of doubt it.

Oops...I was midlead by the title of this thread. False advertising!

Wasn't that odd? She looked like a different child. I thought that was really weird. The clothes, hair & makeup didn't seem like something the child would normally wear. :confused3

Sorry, I vowed to stop watching wife swap. The Nanny one too.

I too thought it was so odd that the D looked the way she did in the update. I don't remember how old she was though. I do remember that my D started wearing makeup all of a sudden after she went to camp before 9th grade. It took a while to convince her that you don't need to trowel it on.

the daughter could have had the makeup on from cheering or something. ya never know.

anywho - omg...Michelle was unfreakin'believable. I dont' get WHY she locked herself in her car and demanded to speak to her husband before the table meeting. Who is she to demand things? she was totally selfish and lazy. she was not SICK...my foot!

I will agree that Jay put alot of empasis on "looks" though...but I still dont' get why this woman participated in a 'swap' to see how others live...if she was just gonna sit on her **** for 2 weeks watchign TV.

I could not believe this episode either. Usually, no matter how much the families clash, they cooperate to a degree and in the weeks later, there are some small changes at least...NOT this woman.

I guess I questioned why she would do this sort of show too if she had intended to just sit on her rear and not participate...however, the only thing that I could come up with is she really believes that is how everyone lives...controlling and bossy....Thankfully, I have never seen anything(one) like this before..WOW......

I was fully expecting to see in the "update" that Michelle and DH were divorced! She was so mean to him and unloving.

This show fascinates me....which doesn't say much about me! ;)

I was so angry with Michelle last night! I really want to know why she decided to go on the show if she didn't want to participate, she didn't want to change, and she didn't want her husband to change. :confused3

OH god! No kidding, she was so lazy and rude, she didn't partipate at all, she did what she wanted, she was "ILL" when she wanted.
Poor husband and kids.

Lazy Lazy and lazy!

I watched it, what a piece of work! This one disturbed me greatly also. I was so upset the husband didn't keep the DJ job. I really wish he'd stand up to her, not just for himself, but she needs a huge dose of reality too. She needed him alone in the car because she had to place the mental shackles back on him before the confrontation. Abuse 101 really.

IMO, I think she agreed to go on because she believes what she does is perfect. If you recall, on her way to the other home or just prior, she said something about how her life and the way she runs her home is just right. Or some similar sentiment. It isn't that she thinks what they do is right, it seems more that she doesn't even realize the way they are actually living. I've never seen anyone so disassociated from reality, her various comments throughout the show comparing herself and her family versus the other just highlighted that she has no clue about who and what she really is. I agree with the poster re: psych treatment. Lots of it.

It did seem like he enjoyed it...but I bet his wife had something to do with him not taking the job, I mean who would be home to make her lunch while she sat on the couch and watched her soaps

I think that Jay was Michelle's worst nightmare! I think she was just upset because she's lazy. She probably never expected to swap with a fitness fanatic! Does anyone know if they get paid to do the swap? I would think that there must be some type of incentive.

I watched bits and pieces. Makes you wonder why they signed up for the swap. A funny side note. I spotted the husband that works with the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders on another channel at the same time. It was a special about someone trying out for the squad. I didn't watch the show - but though it a funny coincidence to have on at the same time as the wife swap.

The lazy wife was a useless sack of nothing. How in the world did she find a man that will do everything for her :confused3. It's nuts that she honestly thought they split the housework 50/50 and she spent so much time with her daughter. That woman is seriously delusional!
