Wife Swap

Anyone see this last night. I thought that the fitness wife had it together. She was so nice and upbeat. I wish that I had more resolve to work out more. I don't want to work out 3 hours a day though, and I thought that it was great that she and her DH go to the gym together. I would love it if my DH would go to the gym with me, but he likes to run outside and I don't like to run. Oh well.

The fitness mom's DH was something! A little anal, I felt sorry for the other mom when the husband would not follow the rules change.

I loved how the fitness mom changed the family she swapped with. Those kids looked so happy to have someone to do things with. I loved it when the kid said how much he loved Karate. But I believe in having activities for my kids to get some exercise. We are active but not as competive as the CA family. I have to say that I agreed with the CA Dad when he took his son to basketball practice. The CA kids looked bored when they had nothing to do. If the mother decided to have the kids not do sports she should have had a plan for something fun instead of TV watching and being on the computer.

It was an interesting show. Both families were definitely extreme. The fitness mom seemed to have a great attitude, but I thought it was a little outrageous to expect an overweight woman who never exercises to start exercising 3 hrs. a day. I feared for that poor woman's heart!

It did seem weird that any woman would encourage only eating junk, refusing to let kids exercise and insist that nobody clean. It just seemed so extreme to me. I was glad to see that the lazy family started execising on their own at the end.

On the other hand, the fitness woman's husband was kind of a jerk. He had no interest in following the rules and he always a smirk on his face whenever he talked to the lazy mom. He needed to lighten up a lot.

I do have to say, after watching this show the past few weeks, I really appreciate my own kids more. I wonder where they find all these bratty children!

While I thought the "unfit" mom (LOL) was obviously extreme, I certainly didn't think the "fitness" mom had it all together. Like the other mom, I don't believe all that "never cranky" stuff. She was way over the top "exercise is my religion". Blah!

I was very glad to see all the Florida family gained from the swap, but wished they would have shown the CA family getting a bit more out of it. They showed them relaxing together as a family, but didn't talk as if they had gained much. If her husband gaining a bit of patience is all they got out of it, that's a little sad.

The Fl mom lives in my territory and she was on the news last night saying she was very disappointed at the editing, to make her look like the "unfit" (weight wise) family. Her family was really funny on the news last night, and I think that they were cast in the wrong light.

DH likes this show and watched last night. He was in awe of the fitness mom and very jealous of her back muscles. He kept muttering about it all night, even after we went to bed LOL!
