Has anyone been to the wide world of sport, if so is it worth a visit. We are going for 3 weeks and thought it might be somewhere different. Anybody got any opinions?
Thanks Donna

Unless there is a specific event you're interested in , like the spring training of the baseball team , I would say probably not. Most of the action is limited to kids ( up to under 18) national finals in basketball , baseball and maybe soccer. That's not to decry the standard of the competition, I watched the boys U14 and girls U13 nationals at basketball and I was astonished at the standard. But I didn't think it justified paying for the admission. You can wander up to the All Star Sports cafe and eat there without paying entrance to the WWoS so that me be as close a look as you want LOL.

I'm going in August to see the Orlando Rays baseball team play.

They are a minor league team offiliated to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays (although this is their last season at WWofS).

I think unless you are really into American sport (baseball, basketball, American footbal etc.), then there won't be much to interest you.

Also, if you haven't got a car getting to WWofS is not too easy. The only WDW bus to WWofS goes from MGM Studios.

Thanks for the quick reply. The entertainment book offers a buy 1 get 1 free for the all stars cafe so I think we will go over to eat and decide from there. Thanks again Donna
