Wicked the Musical

For all those people who are musical fans: Have you guys heard of Wicked? It's playing near me right now, and I just found out we're going to see it in June. I am so excited. It has great songs.

For those who have never heard of Wicked: It's the story of the two witches in the Wizard of Oz. It's all that happened before Dorothy got there.

Let me just tell you this. I am probably one of the biggest Wicked fans you will ever meet. I know the entire play by heart. I live in NY, so I've seen it on Broadway 3 going on 4 times. I met Idina Menzel (the original Elphaba), and even saw her final performance (She had broken her rib the day before, and she came on at the end. I was crying so hard they almost dragged me out of the theatre). Anyways, it's one of the best shows in the history of theatre. If you love shows, be prepared to laugh, cry and have the time of your life.
Sorry if I'm rambling. When someone gets me started on Wicked, I just can't stop!!

P.S. That song at the bottom of my siggie is from Wicked. It's from the song 'For Good', which is soooo beautiful.

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm planning on going to NYC to see it this summer... I love the music though, and I read the novel - and they're a lot different - but I loved that as well...

"it's really uhh.. sharp! don't you think? You know black is this year's pink! You deserve each other, this hat and you, you're both so -- smart!!" I love that part... and Boq.. can I please marry Boq! He seems so adorable! x_x

I'm a broadway fanatic as it is, but Wicked is now my all time favortie bway show. I saw it Jan 4th (with IDINA MENZEL and JOEY MCINTRYE! hehe) and i'm going to see it again in August. And then hopefully the tour when it comes to Philly in '06. hehehehe

I love it sooooo much. I listen to the CD nonstop. Actually, i'm listening it at a really high volume right now.

I love musicals and Wicked has become one of my new favorites. I can't wait to see it when it comes to Chicago which is very soon. I would say that my fav songs are:

The tickets definately go fast! As soon as you find out where they are you had better go and get them. I got my pretty early on and I am lucky to be towards the middle of the theatre! I am just happy I got the tickets at all!

Well, since they decided to have Wicked in Chicago longer, there are a lot more opportunities to get tickets.

I am lucky to get tickets for the touring cast of Wicked, the extra dates in Chicago are for the Chicago casting. Hopefully Wicked will have a long run here.

Wicked is the best show in NYC!!! I saw the show 3 times including Idina Menzel's final performance... Both her and Kristin Chenoweth were spectacular. Im soo upset that Idina is gone...

I've heard a couple of the songs through my friend (who has the CD and loves it). Don't remember the titles or anything, but they were awesome! I've heard that it's a great show.
