Wednesday6/30
Before we left home,Karen made me promise I wouldn't drive her into ground with constantly being on the move. So,I told her not to worry we would definitely sit by the pool and chill. I'm not good at chillin',but a promise is a promise-----sorta kinda....;+)
She never asked how many days I planned for us to sit by the pool,so I didn't offer that info. Sometimes less is better! Besides,
she woulda flipped on me if I told her only 2 days by the pool...
We brought our breakfast down to the tables outside Mara, which is really nice. Filled our mugs and just kinda people-watched. I always wonder about people who can sit at a table, share a meal but not a single word is spoken. Whasup with that?? Karen and I have been together for almost 29 years,we still have plenty to say to each other!
After breakfast,we go to find 2 chairs by the pool. This can be tricky, because we have to find a chair in total sun for Karen and a chair in total shade for me. I refuse to sit and fry in the sun. She's so happy that I've kept my "sit-by-the-pool-promise" she tells me she'll sit anywhere I want. How sweet is that!!! I made sure we found a chair she could deep-fry in 'til she turned the shade of brown that made her happy!
Now,I'm not a pool person at all. I know people are peein' in that water! But even in the shade, its gotta be 95 degrees!!!!
I spent most of the day in the pool, trying to stay clear of people just incase.....
We had 5:00 PS's at 'OHana and I didn't want to drive because I planned on havin' a few pineapple drinks. We left the pool about
3pm so we could get ready and make our way to the Poly using Disney transpo. It was pretty easy and didn't take too much time.
A quick bus ride to MK and the monorail to the Poly resort we had time to look around and have a drink before dinner. Very nice resort! Very good pineapple drink!!
'Ohana opens at 5pm and the line was starting to get really long. I'm SO glad I listened to you guys and made those PS's!!!
We're seated immediately and I notice people that were in front of us are puzzled why they must wait and we don't. Karen says to me,"they don't know about the DIS". Nope, they don't.
We LOVED this place!!! We had so much fun and a few more pineapples! We left here wicked stuffed. Anyone who hasn't tried this place,GO!!!!! You'll totally love it! And,we have a new cousin,Arturo!!! Very friendly staff.
We make our way to MK to catch Wishes and Spectromagic.
AWESOME!!!! We loved it! After it was over we made it thru the crowds(man,I hate those double strollers!)without too much effort. We're from Boston,we know how to get thru a crowd. Its all about the "duck n' weave ". And wasup with people just deadstoppin' in a crowd that's tryin' to move ??? Are they resting?? Lost??? Man,that's aggrevating!!
We finally make it to the bus stop and catch the first bus back to AKL! "Hey,is this test track?" We are movin'!!!!
Tomorrow,we're goin' to Universal!!!!!
