Wiatlist... how close

Just taking a pool here, for people that have been wait listed for a resort. When was the latest you got your waitlist.

I go next Thursday, and keep hoping for my waitlist to come through.

I am hoping that it comes through for you.. I actually got my waitlist maybe within 2 weeks....and was very surprised when it came through for us..

I have some waitlisting going on for this December and am thinking that it will probably not happen for another resort, but hey it might..

At this point, if you still want to switch, you will have to call every day, as all wait lists are canceled at 30 or 7 days before arrival dependin on how you set it up with MS.

I was just going to suggest the same thing. Make sure you're even still on the waiting list if you're that close to check-in.

The automatic 30-day waitlist cancellation is set up to prevent people from having points in holding if a waitlist request comes through 30 days or less from check-in. (The original booking is technically cancelled. So, if the waitlisted resort uses less points than the original booking, the points that are left over would be in holding.) I guess the 7-day waitlist expiration is more of a logistics thing.

All waitlists expire 7 days prior to arrival.

If you still want something at that point, you have to call MS and hope to get lucky.

Our waitlist came through on Friday... the day before it was set to expire
