Wi-Fi at the Polynesian?

Does anyone know if there are any Wi-Fi spots at the Poly, or anywhere nearby there, for that matter?

We will be at the Poly for 3 days before our cruise - you can't expect me to not post to our cruise thread for 3 days, can ya??

Not yet according to allearsnet. You may want to call the Poly front desk to verify. You could head over to the GF lobby. Note that it's not free.

They were testing high speed internet access in Hawaii (the building not the state ) when I was there in August. During the testing, the access was free. I do not know if it's been rolled out "officially" to any of the buildings.

I realize that use of the wi fi shoudl be safe but I would like to warn you. In 2003 we stayed at the WL and my sis in law used her laptop in the room and at the pool. Someone was able to highjack her signal, get into her email and subsequently her paypal account which was linked to her savings account. Need I say more???? She was able to recover her money after alot of hard work and many international phone calls. Please be sure to connect safely and securely. We were told that resorts like this are hot spots for this type of predator.

The rooms at the Polynesian now have high speed internet access, but not wi-fi. (allears is not up to date on this)

It's $9.95 per day. If you don't have a cable with you, housekeeping will provide one.

Our room in Tokelau had a high speed ethernet cable on the night stand between the beds when we went in Sept. It was $9.95 per day.

I sent an email to the Polynesian to see but they announced wireless access in August and many people have reported using it so I am not sure why it would not be available now.
