Does anyone know why Splash was down today, and if it will be running again soon? We will be here all week, but it was a bummer to see Splash empty today--and a lone workman at the top of the big drop--couldn't see what he was doing.....anyone know what's up?

We were there on Wednesday the 5th and that's when it went down. Right before the parade around 2:45 pm. I have no idea what happened. All I know is that there was a 60 minute wait and all the people that had been standing in line got turned around and told there were technical difficulties. We were bummed because we had just shown our fast passes and started up the path when we were told "sorry". I hope it is fixed before the end of your vacation!

Wow! Thanks for the info! I am not very encouraged though, I must say, knowing it has been down so long. I think it contributes to the crowded feel (especially on BTM) when a major ride like that is out of commission.

If anyone could update us as things go along that would be great. It would be nice to know if it is back up and running.

Thanks in advance!! :teeth:

I rode it on the 6th during the MNSSHP, it must have been fixed and broke again.

I rode it Friday, Oct. 7th morning and it stopped. So we had to be walked off the ride. It was fun to see behind the scenes. It was back and running about one hour later. We were able to ride it twice that day. It was running during MNSSHP that night.

We had to walk off BTMR earlier this year, it was really interesting. It is amazing what is under the "mountian"

I was there Wednesday the 5th also and the ride was up and working during the evening EMH; I rode it around 10:30pm or so. Guess it keeps going down then back up.

Is it me or does this ride seem to break down more often than any other in the Magic Kingdom? We have always rode SM and luckly it has only broke down one time while we were on it, but that was enough for our oldest daughter. She had that tune stuck in her head for the rest of the vacation and now every time she hears it, she remembers being stuck and says she doesn't want to ride it anymore. We were stuck for about 45 minutes before we were able to unload and we had to walk through the attraction to an exit and down several flights of stairs on the backside of the attraction. I didn't like being stuck, but I did like getting to see a behind the scenes look at the MK, even though it was limited.

this might be a stupid question, but how do you exit when your boat is in water?? :confused3

They have walk-ways and steps alongside the flume. There are also exit doors (with illuminated signs) that can be seen periodically on the ride.

My daughter and I rode it just prior to park closing for the MNSSHP on October 7th. Nothing out out of the ordinary.

We were there on Wednesday Oct. 5 when it went down. We had fast passes at that time for later. It did get up and running again on that same day though. We were able to use our FP whenever we wanted that day even though they had expired while it was broken. It ran ok for the rest of the day because we rode it during EMH that night too!
