I'm a single parent who has always visited WDW with my daughter - If there is ever a time where she can or will not go, I guess I will have no choice but to visit alone. Why do you go alone?

I had no one in my life as a signifcant other and no friends or family wanted to go. I had a great time on all my solo trips. It is different by yourself. It has good and bad points. The good are do what you want when you want. You do not have to think about your daughter can or wants to do that. You do not have to do something because she wants to.(that can be fun anyway) Eat where and when and what you want. You can stay where you want also.(as long as you can afford it)

I've never gone alone, but I am going to be solo for DIS-CON..of course I won't be alone once I get there.

I can think of a number of reasons to go alone...main one being you can go where you want, when you want. And it is much cheaper going solo, 1 airfare, 1 admission ticket and meals for 1!!! It sounds better and better all the time.

DH is severely Disney impaired. He won't go more than once a year (not that often if he can avoid it) so he humors me and I go by myself. I love it :)

The "kids" grew up, but I didn't!:o I have been on MANY SOLO trips, and love it more each time.;) You get to do what you want, when you want, eat, don't eat, snack, don't snack, etc. I do not spend much time in the room, as there is lots to do!;) This is why I stay at Sports with a good rate!:p

I have been to solo to WDW 7 times and DL 2 times since early 2000. Nobody from home wants to go. But I am with MANY people when I am there, many. Have a great time, always.

Not only all of the above posts, but if you've ever seen any of Dan's pictures, you get to see alot of things and details in The World that I seem to miss when I'm there.
