Why to be POLITE at Disney World.

Thank you, OP!!!!! :goodvibes

What you give, you receive 10, 100, 1,000,000 - fold.

Blessings to you!

This is a wonderful post. I've found kindness in the parks and resorts is absolutely the greatest thing to pack. When I was in college I lived less then 15 minutes away from the parks and would ride in to do my homework because as a poor college student I couldn't afford air conditioning or heat and my parents had bought me an annual pass. I found myself talking to people from all over the world as I sat at a table writing papers and taking notes. I also found out stories from cast members. There was a janitor named Frank frequently working in Fantasyland who had worked in the park since opening day. He had even known my uncle when he was a welder working on the monorail. He had the best information about the park.

BRAVO! STANDING OVATION!

I totally agree with this. I try very hard to behave like that in the parks, although it's not always easy. My daughter has been going to DL since she was 1 and she's been trained that every time she sees someone wearing a birthday button, she says "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" to them. It doesn't cost anything, it doesn't take much effort, just to be nice to people.

I once dropped a $20 while getting an old-school FP and a teenager tapped me on the shoulder and handed it to me. We always hear about the negative guest interactions at Disney but there are many positive ones.

I hereby solemnly swear to pack my politeness and my kindness when we hit WDW in 15 days!

:worship:

This makes my heart smile.

Thank you for turning that money in. Even if the CM's pocketed it. YOU did the right thing. I found 100.00 at Wal-mart once, Turned it in and no one claimed it. I got called back to come pick it up.

Thanks for sharing! I really enjoyed reading this :goodvibes.

Our first trip is in a few weeks. Thank you for showing me that many of the "hidden gems" at WDW can be found in the people you meet. :)

But not just at Disney World, I like to pay for car behind me in the toll plaza every so often with the message for the person to have a nice day! Pass it on you never know when someone just needs a reminder of a simple gesture to pass it on to the next person. Just a thought!

Lovely post :)
I agree you can make a choice to let people who are being rude really rile you up or you can choose to brush it off and continue enjoying your day.

I have read on a blog recently if you are being referred to as a treasured guest it means your being a **** and the other staffed are being warned about you.
