Why the short MK hours on the 23rd?

Hiya folks,

Dangnabbit, we're coming down for a weekend July 21 - 24, and the one night we can go to the MK (Sat the 23rd), they are closing an hour early at 10 p.m.

Anyone know what gives?

We enjoy that last late hour the most, and it is just plain old stinky that they are closing at 10 p.m. at the middle of peak summer season. Makes me want to hurt my 'puter when it tells me stuff I don't want to hear.

If there's some kind of late night private party, I want a ticket!!

Don't get too upset.....
10pm won't be bad.
Here is why.... They have evening EMH on Friday night and most resort guests seem to be taking advantage of this. And there is another evening EMH for MK on Mondays.
So....most people will not visit the same park 2 nights in a row. When we went in June they had the same hours. And actually the park was not very crowded on that Saturday night. It worked out great for us to go the park the night after they had evening EMH!! Make sense?

Thanks! Phew! It used to be Saturdays were the most crowded day of the week at the MK, but with the EMH hours and the fact that Wishes shows nightly, it should be ok.

We have had good luck riding tons of things as walk-ons during Spectromagic, too. Seems to be the only way to do Buzz and Space Mountain in the summer, for us.

It's been an experience going during peak season this year! Normally I'd only go the first week of December and then maybe in September or January. It's been a bit of a juggle to deal with the summertime crowds.

My guess is that they shut down for private functions such as parties and wedding receptions. You can rent out rides for a fee and I would imagine that Sat would be a popular day of the week for parties..
