Why The Reckless Survive.

I heard that phrase today, and it made me think.

Why do they? It doesn't make too much sense. The reckless, people who live on the edge of life, don't plan, don't know where their next meal is coming from, yet always seem to find it. You know who they are. How do they manage to survive?

I have no idea. I always figure some people just get lucky. And if you look at individual situations, you'll find out it doesn't always end up nice in the end.

They don't overanalyse things.
The moment you start thinking things through, you forget details, you put too much strain on the situation. You're doing too much thinking and not enough doing. You're worrying, and your nerves are on high. It's like if you think you're going to vomit, and you start worrying. The moment you start worrying about that, it gets ten times worse. The heave is ten times worse. The taste is ten times worse, the situatino is ten times worse.
To live on the streets without food, thinking about what you can do is not getting you the food you need. You need to be putting an effort in.
