Why the lack of Alaskan Trip Reports?

i was wondering this too! i have to sort through a lot of posts for other disney cruises to find Alaska info for Disney. Wish this board could divide our the forum in better categories - like one for either just WONDER or have one specifically for Alaska.

Yes! I don't know how many times I do a search and someone has said in a Caribbean report how much they want to go to Alaska. And I can't search just the titles because some of the posters don't put Alaska in their title. It makes me contemplate my future trip report title all over again! :)

We went to Alaska on the Wonder in 2013. I just started writing it up on our personal blog at backtothemouse.com. It is taking a long time just selecting which pictures to use since Alaska is so beautiful.

For those that went already, can you see the ship go under the bridge and still make it to first dinner seating without being late?

I just started reading it but I too am a points traveler so I can relate to your posts about flying and staying on points. :)

We definitely did this. We stayed out up on deck for about 30 minutes after going under the bridge. We then went to get ready for dinner.

We really got into it two years ago and just wanted to document how we suddenly started to be able to afford all sorts of travel.

I totally plan on it! When in June do you go? We are the very first cruise out of Alaska so we leave the last week of May. If you leave early June then I won't have it written before you leave. :worried:

Not until the 13th of June. If you've written it by then, great, if not, no worries!

Are we allowed to post a link to an online blog for a trip report? We went in June of 2014. I can tell you that we booked our own whale watching tour with Harv & Marv in Juneau, but we had a large group, so kids were allowed (you need a minimum number of people to book with kids). We did the dog sled/panning for gold tour in Skagway and really enjoyed it, and we didn't book anything in Ketchikan. We were going to just walk around since we've been there before, but it was raining, so we ran out, shopped a bit, and went back to the ship. I have a very detailed review on my blog, including photos and videos but I don't know if I'm allowed to post an outside link.

These guys did a youtube series of "trip reports" from Alaska that were really fun to watch if you like the video perspective

i started 13 years ago for our honeymoon and just progressed into doing it more each year. We started small and now I have an excel spreadsheet and award wallet to keep track!
