Why such a major price difference between Tropicana and BW Park Place &Mini suites?

In my opinion, neither one is better than the other. I'm looking into summer 2026 reservations. A mini suite at BW with 2 queen beds and a pullout couch is almost $900 more than a room at Tropicana with 2 queen beds and a pullout sofabed. We wanted to stay at BW,but that's a major price difference. Anyone have something similar to share about tje Good Neighbor hotels?

BW priced us out just before or right after Covid. Their prices are ridiculous for the hotel.

Yeah no kidding. I liked their continental breakfast, but it's not $900 good. I went ahead and booked Tropicana.

I think because they can claim they are right at the crosswalk to Disneyland, they can charge those prices and people not in the know will pay it. We've never stayed there, one of the only hotels along Harbor that we haven't stayed at actually! We booked it once, but ended up going back to our old standbys so cancelled.

Tropicana is a decent motel, it's not one of our favorites, but we do like hitting up The Cove they have there for pop and water if we're staying close. It's such a nice convenience store!
