Why so many Epcot choices?!

I get a little frustrated (in a good way, I guess!) that there are so many TS choices at Epcot and so few choices everywhere else. We don't really care for the TS at MK or DHS...and there really aren't any choices at AK. I don't mind going to other resorts sometimes, but it just feels like it was bad Disney planning to put so many options in one place. Thank goodness for park hoppers! Without them we'd either spend all of our trip in Epcot or not eat any sitdown dinners. Currently our itinerary is: MK in the morning, Epcot for dinner...AK in morning, Epcot for dinner...etc, etc.

It's definitely a spoiled-kind-of-frustrated :woohoo:

There are some good TS at resorts too. Have you considered using the monorail on a MK day to go to Contempory, Poly, or Grand Floridian for Dinner? Or even boat to Wilderness Lodge. Lots and lots to choose from! Than you can return to MK for nighttime shows too.

Yes- we've eaten at many of the resort TS places...and I have 3 resort places planned for our next trip (so I guess I was exaggerating in saying EVERYTHING was at Epcot.) Still, I just feel like Epcot should share the wealth with the other parks, haha. Esp. MK!

I agree. I really enjoy most of the TS restaurants at Epcot which is one of the reasons we usually get park hoppers. :)

Many of the resorts also have good restaurants. I too don't particularly care for most of the TS restaurants in MK or DHS.

I'm having that same problem right now. I'm trying to plan a weekend trip without the kids and we want to eat at some good sit down restaurants and I keep coming back to EPCOT.

I try to concentrate my TS meals at the resorts so im not stuck at one particular park. There are many options at Epcot and too bad i only feel like using one of my park days there because there are two or three i would like to try but narrowed it down to one. It stinks that you have to use a park day to eat in one of the restaurants. Its not worth it too us to spend an extra $200 for the park hoppers, too much work when you small kids.

Except for EP we generally eat dinner at a resort. I'll figure out what park we are going to that day then see where I want to eat dinner. Say it is MK. We might, for example, schedule a dinner at Ohana and then I'll book a breakfast at Kona Cafe. We drive so we'll eat at Kona and just stay parked there for the day and go back, have dinner and get in our car to head to our resort.

BTW, Yak and Yeti is TS and at AK and is YUMMY!

Gee, park hoppers cost $52 and there are so many good options at Epcot and so easy to get to from MK and DHS and a great way to finish AK days since it closes early. Sounds like another way for Disney to pick us clean. And it works.
But seriously, there are good options at other parks. I can't go to the World and not eat at PTC. I love LTT at MK, and had a great light meal at the Plaza. And at AK, Flame Tree is a great cs. If I ever do DXDDP, I'll still eat at Flame Tree.

FYI: this is WDW illegal. They can and might tow your car away.

You're only suppsed to stay there 3 hours and if you want to go to MK that day, you need to park in the MK lot. It's much easier to just park at the MK lot and walk over to the Poly.

I agree. There is much to offer, at least for our food tastes, at the other parks... even at DHS.

MK we like Cosmic Rays and Pecos Bills for CS; CRT and LTT for TS.
AK we like everything there.
DHS we don't love any of the CS, but Starring Rolls and Backlot Express are ok; Hollywood BD and 50s PTC are pretty good.

Lol, but we still get hoppers anyway. Mainly for EMH reasons.

Animal Kingdom I can understand as very often the park closes long before dinner (unless you eat at 5:00). I also understand DHS since they don't have much in the way of CS restaurants so at least they are consistent.

We rely on Epcot, the resorts and Downtown Disney for some excellent TS choices.

Unless they valet park. My understanding is that there is no time limit on the valet parking - unless there's been a recent change. Otherwise, you are correct.
