I have Ressis at the RPR for July 21 - 28 in a water view room just because of FOTL. I read on the board here about the new pass that you can buy for $20.00 per person. My question is this if you can get FOTL for $20.00 why pay the high room rates and food prices to stay on site? You could easily stay close by for half the price. What are your thoughts mine are to change my hotel ressis and whay not?

Maybe I'm wrong, but I read about the $20 per person pass and it looks like you have to buy one for each of the 2 parks, making that $40 per person (If I'm wrong let me know--that's how I read the US/IOA website). So right away that's $80 for a couple. Add that to how much a regular room (not onsite) is and you're almost up to how much an onsite room is. I tried to figure out the best method to visiting US/IOA for us (3 of us) and staying at Portofinio for one night with the entertainment rate of $155 seem to suit us best. That way we can enjoy 2 days of FOTL perk. The $20 pass only allows you one visit on each ride, where the FOTL perk is unlimited. This is just my thoughts as I just made my ressie for PBR about 2 weeks ago and I leave in 2 weeks. Before that we were going to be at WDW during the entire stay so decided to stop at PBR the first night, enjoy the two parks at our leisure for 2 days, then move over to WDW for the rest of our stay. I'm new at the US/IOA staying onsite issue, and got lots of info about how to get discounts (FAN Club/entertainment) from this site.

That's the key sentence in n2mm's post. We have a 4 year old who loves Seuss Landing, so guess which rides we ride over and over again? And now that Shrek and Jimmy Neutron are open, I'm sure we'll be on those rides numerous times too! :p

We just got back this morning from 4 nights at HRH and let me tell you, FOTL is worth every penny!!!!!! We had a 5 day pass and used it everyday and got FOTL at the parks and at the restaurants it was so nice!!!!

You can get discounts on the resorts that make them very reasonable. We got a great rate at HRH for a deluxe room at $160, standard rooms were $125. We stayed at the RPR resort last year and loved it. Its right on par with the Deluxe Disney hotels. FOTL cant be beat. I cant how wonderful it was and how much time it saved us last year. My 2 little ones dont do great wainting in long lines so this is great for us. You wont be sorry you stayed on site.
