Why should I add on?

Why should I add to my points when I can just rent more at $10.00 a point and not have anymore annual dues? What would be a good reason?

Why did you buy in the first place when you "could rent at $10 a point and never have any annual dues'?

Will you always be able to rent at $10 per point? The rental rates are definitely higher now than they were a couple of years ago. I'd always prefer the peace of mind when making my own reservations and that, by itself, would cause me to want to add-on if I knew I needed more points each year.

We added on at other resorts to gain access to the 11-month advance reservation window.

The Reason I ask was because I want to add on and DH says if we need more points we can just rent them. I wanted a good come back.

I've been seeing a few rentals for AKV, and they're asking $14 per point.... so rental rates may increase. I guess it depends if we end up having a tiered rental price for the older resorts, and a higher one for the newer ones...

So if this is just a one time you need extra points, then go ahead and rent. But if you're going to need this every year for the next 5 years, I'd go ahead and purchase.

The rental board seems to have more I wants then I haves, but that is JMO.

Another consideration is do you want to vacation elsewhere. If so than I agree with hubby that you should rent verses add-on.
