Why say "blackout" period when it doesnt apply?

I am so mad
After I first read about the new deal and saw that the blackout dates wer 5-18 April, I thought no more about it. I did send an email to my TA and asked her to check. She came back and said that our dates (13-19April) would not get the special deal.

A few days later, I read here on the DIS boards that people have been able to book dates in this so-called blackout period. I quickly looked at the disneyworld website and there is nothing available for those dates apart from the Contemporary. This does not help us as we were wanting a suite, or 2 interconnecting rooms.

Why did they do this?!?! It does not make sense

Keep trying. When I first tried to book mine from 4/11-4/18 it wouldn't let me either...kept telling me nothing was available. Now there is and I got what I wanted.

I agree...keep trying. I was able to book POFQ for April 11-18th.

Who knows why they did that?

I wasn't home to read the web page, so I just called at 2pm PT and asked for what I wanted & got it. It was only when I arrived home that I realized there were blackout dates.

I think the inventory will be changing alot this weekend since people are still making up their minds. Keep trying -- I hope you find what you're looking for!

Definitely keep trying, definitely frustrating for sure! Sometimes Disney makes no sense when it comes to these promotions they send out!

I have a feeling there was a black out period when the code was pre-announced to TAs. Then Disney decided to remove it, but didn't change the announcement. They may have even decided after announcing it to not put in the black out days after all. Just goes to prove, try it out online and see before deciding it isn't available.
