Is there an advantage to purchasing tickets on-line? I still need to go to a ticket counter to swap the voucher for the actual ticket. I plan on purchasing one annual pass and the rest of my passes at the 15% discount offered to annual pass holders.

AP discounted tickets have to be purchased at the gate so you will need to wait. Your AP has to be activated before you can purchase any additional tickets at the AP discount.

I think they meant tickets...at least I hope they did.

Yes - you can get a 15% discount on upt to 6 multi-day multi-park tickets. I am getting one annual pass for the room discount.

You need to buy the pass, go through the gates to activate and then come back out and purchase the other tickets.

Thanks for the info. When I spoke to Universal on phone, I was led to believe that all the tickets could be purchased over the phone and that was the only way other than at the gate. I did not realize I had to literally pass through the gate before I could purchase the other tickets. I thought 'activated' didn't necessarily mean entering the park?

Yes - I have already reserved it at the AP rate. You will have to show the pass at some point (check in or check out?).
