Why Not Just Queue Up Another Disney Trip? Link to New TR 6/24 p136!

Hi everyone!!!!!!

Sorry I won't get to individual replies tonight, but I just wanted to check in from the Business Center at the BWI Marriott! No, we are not leaving early for Disney. We are here for a soccer tournament and Nick's team made it into the play-offs so we are staying until tomorrow.

I really hope I get a chance to DIS tomorrow. I didn't expect to be here another night so that has put me a tad behind. But at least tomorrow's game is at 8am so we should be heading home early.

I just wanted to say that I was pretty psyched to see Michelle (Sooner Girl) here! :wave2: And to Mr Capell - we actually own points at SSR, hence the easy availability of the treehouse. I booked it right at 11 months!!!!!! I'm glad I did before they raise the point prices next year.

In other news, Denny and I bought a sleep number bed today. I posted this on FB and it sounds like those of you that have one really like it. I hope we love it. Sort of an impulse buy, but Denny has been saying he wanted to try one for years. So now we have one. Well, actually, we have to wait for it to be delivered and the only bummer is we will probably leaving for Disney right as they want to deliver. So we are going to have it delivered when we get back because I sure don't want Brian breaking it in. :rotfl2:

Be back soon with replies and my final update before leaving in 13 days!!!!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

We have a sleep number, overall are really happy with it! A few learning curve items with it but it really has helped both of us.

Hi ME! Love reading your trip plans for the week after next! I forgot you were staying tin the treehouse villas. Looking forward to pics!

Last May they were not differentiating between kids and adults for counterservice meals. Katie goes back and forth between wanting big meals and kid sized. She ate from the adult choices at cosmic rays, roaring forks, columbia harbor house, in dhs its the cs behind honey i shrunk the kids playgound(cant remeber the name ..something studio) and in epcot she got fish and chips in england. My brain is not fully functioing ye so names are escaping me. I am with Cynthia...have the kids seated and then an adult order the food..thoug at CH katie went with me while Joe scouted a table ad they did not ask.

Nicks prom pics are great..i saw them on fb but didnt comment...i have resorted to a lot of lurking...no time to comment!

My friend Lesley bought a sleep number bed and loves it. Its in storage til they get in their house and they really miss it!

I echo what a few have already posted, Disney does NOT separate kids and adult Quick Service meals, so just don't have the boys in line with you and they rarely ever ask. Just order and run the KTTW, you'll be fine! :thumbsup2 It's a loophole in the plan, and I'm sure Disney is aware of it, but they don't care enough to change it.

Hope you are having a good time today!

Mary Ellen-
Catching up & you were about 20 minutes from my house for the tournament!

Hope it went well.

Rebecca

OK, another update I thought I had commented on, but apparently did not. Sheesh. I've been doing that a lot lately! I didn't realize your trip was so long. I am just a little, teeny bit jealous. :rolleyes1 And the treehouse is going to be so cool...and you'll take amazing pictures to share. When I was at SSR in April I really would have enjoyed going exploring over to that area, but we just didn't have a lot of time.

I've been doing a lot of that too. I'm especially bad when I read before I go to work but don't comment!

Trip is 10 nights total but I'm really not sure if the first and last nights count all that much. I wish it was one day longer but I'm certainly not going to complain. We haven't done even a 7 night trip since 2009.

I can't wait to enter that treehouse villa. I will not let anyone in until I take pictures! :rotfl:

I've really been impressed by the CS options at Disneyworld. I finally did Flametree this past April and it was great. I've never really had a CS meal that I thought was bad. And Sunshine Seasons really is downright fantastic. I had seared tuna for lunch there in February and it was awesome.

I really, really want that seared tuna. It sounds amazing! Yum!

Plus, your trip is really close! :cool1:

I know! :woohoo:

ME, you can add luggage when you check in or pay for it when selecting your seats when getting your boarding passes.

I got my flight through Disney & pay for my luggage at that point.

Perfect. :thumbsup2 The last time I flew air tran luggage was still free. Yup, its been that long!

Your plans for June sound great!! :thumbsup2 I can't wait to see pictures of the treehouse! I think you'll really like BWV too. I'm glad all the drama worked out in the end.

Thanks Amy! I'm so glad it is all working out, too! Although I heard that my SIL's dad was really giving them a hard time for taking the train and it was really starting to be a downer for my SIL. Hopefully she can put that behind her!

As far as the dining plan... I was going to say I didn't have any experience with it but then I read what Cynthia wrote and remember we had used the DDP in 2009. Again, check if things have changed, but back then, all of the CS credits were definitely lumped together so we could use them how we wanted. The kids did mostly get kids meals, but there were a couple times that they didn't and it was fine.

I am feeling more and more optimistic that my nephew will be able to eat what he wants. Even if they separate credits I am going to push for him to get the food he wants because I offered to upgrade him and wasn't allowed.

Can't wait to hear about your other trip plans. :thumbsup2

Coming up this week! I've got a few more things in the queue! :woohoo:

Hey ME! So, I kept putting off coming back to this thread because the pages and pages that I was behind was just way too daunting to think about, finally I just decided not to play catch up and just read from here, I'll go back and read your updates as time allows, but at least I'm not getting further behind!

Hey Michelle - Welcome Back! I'm glad you decided to stop by. I know that when I get behind in a TR I have a hard time getting myself to catch up, so no worries!

I didn't even realize that you had a trip coming up so soon! How exciting! Your plans sound great! I really wish you hadn't posted that picture of the clown slide though, geez that thing creeps me out

I'm very excited for our upcoming trip! It's getting here FAST now and I am just starting to feel the crunch!

The clown actually creeps me out a bit too. We might have to stick to the quiet pool! :rotfl:

Love the pics of your Girl's trip!

Thanks! We really did have a blast. I love Williamsburg - such a great place!

Can't wait to read about your trip with your brother and his family, the itinerary looks great! I think they will have a good time.

Thanks! I think they will have a good time too. I hope that they appreciate what a really cool place it is and I hope they get touched by the magic! :wizard:

Nice prom pics (poor kids getting eaten by bugs).

Thanks! Yeah - I don't know what was up with those bugs. :rotfl: They were Nasty!

I think your plans sound great. You are almost there...it's getting so close.

Thanks! I am very happy its right around the corner! Woo Hoo! :woohoo:

Wave to us on your way to Lorton (you'll pass nearby).

I'll tell my brother to wave since, thankfully, I will be flying. I really don't even know where Lorton. I should check it out on a map.

And I can't wait to hear about the Treehouse Villas.
Did you guys rent points?

SSR is one of our home resorts so I booked it right at 11 months. I knew it would be the perfect place for my brother's family and us. I'm glad I'm getting a chance to stay there before the points go up.

I would LOVE to get the whole family together like you guys and stay there.
So I can't wait to hear the report!

I think that's a great idea. The pictures look so cool. I will definitely let you know what its like at maximum capacity. :rolleyes1

We have a sleep number, overall are really happy with it! A few learning curve items with it but it really has helped both of us.

I haven't heard any bad endorsements about the bed so I'm sure we'll love it. I would love to wake up a little less and night and sometimes I just feel so stiff when I do wake up. Hope that changes.

Hi ME! Love reading your trip plans for the week after next! I forgot you were staying tin the treehouse villas. Looking forward to pics!

YOU must be getting so excited yourself. Are you getting caught up and back on track for next weekend? :woohoo: As hot as its been this weekend you are getting a good preview of the weather. :rotfl: I hope its helping me to acclimatize!!!!!

Last May they were not differentiating between kids and adults for counterservice meals. Katie goes back and forth between wanting big meals and kid sized. We will definitely seat them first. I'll have Nick sit with the kids while the rest of us get food. It's going to be interesting having all 9 of us get seated together at CS. That in itself should be a bit comical. I wonder how many drinks we will spill? :rotfl:

Nicks prom pics are great..i saw them on fb but didnt comment...i have resorted to a lot of lurking...no time to comment!

I've been doing a lot of lurking myself. Every time I think I am caught up I get behind again. Oh well! :confused3

My friend Lesley bought a sleep number bed and loves it. Its in storage til they get in their house and they really miss it!

I'm so glad to hear all the positive reviews on the bed. I went with it because I know Denny really wanted one and we needed a new mattress anyway. AT least we know what we are getting and I hope it is one of those instances where you do get what you pay for.

Well, I hope they don't change it anytime soon. I really didn't know about this, but I wish I had a few years ago when LJ was on the meal plan. He had some terrible CS meals. I'm sure it will all work out so I'm not going to stress over it anymore!

Hope you are having a good time today!

Well, the boys were runner up, but I know they were happy to get as far as they did in the tournament! :thumbsup2 It's always nice to see them do well.

Mary Ellen-
Catching up & you were about 20 minutes from my house for the tournament!

Really? Cool! We played the first two days at a field in Columbia Md. Great field with 3 turf fields. Very nice facility. I can't think of the name of the park now. Today we played at Covenant park which was a nice grass field. Such nice facilities in Howard County.

Proud Mommy Moment.......

Here are the Vipers - We were finalists, not champions, but they played a good game and it will look good on Nick's player profile.

Nick is in the front row, 2nd from the left!

Mary Ellen! You were only 15 minutes away from me. I didn't even think to ask where you were going to be when you said you were at BWI.

I'm glad they did well, but I hope they're not too disappointed with how things ended up.

Mary Ellen! You were only 15 minutes away from me. I didn't even think to ask where you were going to be when you said you were at BWI.

You mean we could have had a DIS meet? I forget how many DISers live in Maryland. You guys probably all live in the same general area. I will say that the Mariott we were in was fairly nice. Nick made more of a fuss about that hotel than he does about Disney hotels. :faint: What is wrong with my child?

On Sunday morning there was a huge Indian wedding there. It was crazy. The clothing the women wore was so beautiful, but its strange to see a full on party out in the parking lot at 10am.

I'm glad they did well, but I hope they're not too disappointed with how things ended up.

Nah - they were fine with it. They really aren't the greatest team (IMHO), but Nick loves those kids and wouldn't dream of leaving them, so I think everyone was pleased with the outcome.

Great team picture, I know you are proud.:goodvibes

Thanks! :goodvibes

I'm actually really proud of Nicholas because I like the way he handles himself on the field. No drama. He is very professional and he doesn't get caught up in any of the scrapping and poor sportsmanship that I sometimes see on the soccer field. I love that he just goes out there and does his job.

Congrats to the proud mom and family! You can reward yourself with a new Sleep Number bed. :thumbsup2

Less than 2 weeks to go!

Oooh a sleep number! I've always wanted one. Johnny likes a hard mattress and I like it as soft and cozy as I can get it.
Congratulations to Nick and his team!

Congrats to you, your son, and his team. Its hard to imagine that my son could be playing real soccer someday, as opposed to just following the ball around like he does now. :lmao:

looks like a great team, MaryEllen! Your trip in June sounds so similar to ours in November- as we will have little cousins with us, too. :goodvibes I'm looking forward to hearing all about your Treehouse adventure. Funny thing- we are staying at BWV to recover from the BIG family time, too! :) It will be good, because they are so different- BWV and the Treehouses, or, in our case, Jambo GV. :goodvibes

Enjoy your new bed!!

Congrats to Nick and his teammates and to your new bed! Hope you're able to echo all the good reviews everyone's been saying, and maybe the excitement over getting a new piece of furniture will take away those post-Disney blues.

Mary Ellen, I have actually been reading a long on your report but Never posted. :confused3 I think work keeps distracting me when I am reading your report.

Loved your report on Williamsburg. Such a neat place that I want to visit.

Glad your brother and his family are going on your trip. I am sure you all will have a great time.

Can't wait to see plenty of pictures from the Treehouse.

:yay:Yay, you are getting so close.

Congrats to the proud mom and family! You can reward yourself with a new Sleep Number bed. :thumbsup2

Thanks and :rotfl2: That was a total splurge and it was really more for Denny than me. I'm usually too cheap but I knew he really wanted one. So I said "OK".

Less than 2 weeks to go!

Despite whatever my ticker says, it's officially 9 days! :cool1:

Oooh a sleep number! I've always wanted one. Johnny likes a hard mattress and I like it as soft and cozy as I can get it.

Then this bed would be perfect for you because it has quite the variety of settings! Just never switch sides! ;)

Congratulations to Nick and his team!

Thanks! He really enjoyed the tournament. Good way to end the spring season!

Congrats to you, your son, and his team. Its hard to imagine that my son could be playing real soccer someday, as opposed to just following the ball around like he does now. :lmao:

Thanks!

Nick's been on a travel team since he was in third grade and that's around the time they start to understand the concept of the game. It's interesting how some kids are naturally more intelligent towards the strategy then others.

They are a great groups of boys. Several of the boys were new last year and this year and others, like Nick, have been on that team since 3rd grade!

I can't wait to stay in the treehouse, but I just learned that there are only 2 BRs. I thought, for sure, there were 3. That has me a little concerned except that little boys don't take a long time in the BR.

Enjoy your new bed!!

Thanks. It's being delivered after we get home. Denny wants the full 30 day trial! :rotfl2:

Congrats to Nick and his teammates and to your new bed! Hope you're able to echo all the good reviews everyone's been saying, and maybe the excitement over getting a new piece of furniture will take away those post-Disney blues.

Thanks!

:rotfl2: I actually don't think anything, except perhaps a new sports car, will help with the post Disney blues! :rotfl2: But out mattress is so bad right now that I can't wait to get a really good night's sleep. :goodvibes

Congrats to Nick and his team on being finalists!! :yay:

Thanks! They were all pretty excited and since Nick is looking at playing college ball putting this on his player profile is helpful. Personally, I hope he picks academics over soccer, but I'm supporting whatever decision he makes.

The sleep number bed sounds awesome!

I will let everyone know how it is since its being delivered the day after we get home!

Mary Ellen, I have actually been reading a long on your report but Never posted. :confused3 I think work keeps distracting me when I am reading your report.

I hear ya! I have been pretty busy at work lately and its really cut down on my DIS time. :rolleyes1 shhhhhhhhh! ;)

How are you feeling? I'm ready for a new update from you!

Loved your report on Williamsburg. Such a neat place that I want to visit.

I hope you get a chance to. How far of a drive is it for you? There is really SO much to do there and with Busch Gardens being there you just can't go wrong. Not Disney, but still fun!

Glad your brother and his family are going on your trip. I am sure you all will have a great time.

I am very excited they are going and I hope they have a wonderful time!

Can't wait to see plenty of pictures from the Treehouse.

I am not letting anyone IN until I take my pictures. I wonder how THAT will go over. :rotfl2:

:yay:Yay, you are getting so close.

I know! :woohoo: I'm getting pretty excited! :woohoo:

What a GREAT team picture! Congratulations on a job well done.

And congrats again on the new bed.
