Thanks! That lobby was just downright cool and I even missed photographing a whole section because someone was sitting there.

Seriously - isn't that great. Shadow looked none too thrilled with the whole picture taking thing, but I suspect when you are a celeb like that the paparazzi get boring.

I knew the whole fishing thing would be right up yours (and Blakes) alley. If you are a fisherman that resort must be to die for. Water, water everywhere on the island. It's got to be a fisherman's dream.

It was a wonderful resort. I really enjoyed it and I'm glad that my GF's wanted to go there. It made me step out of the box and try something new and I am so glad that I did. It was a great choice!

I love to go to beaches that are noncommercial! The lodge is really nice looking. The resort looks like a place to really relax.

As always your pictures are da bomb! I, too was wondering if the dog door & house were props. Now why would we suppose that?!

That's a serious investment in memory cards! I don't clear them out until I have things backed up at least twice (photobucket and external hard drive). I've gotten to the point where I can only keep 1-2 years of photos on my laptop!

Why did you have to check out and check back in?

This beach is totally non commercial! I don't think it could be any less commercial. The lodge and the resort were just perfect for relaxing!

I know there are a lot of things that are "Disney magic", but I am glad that Shadow is a real, live dog.

I buy the double pack 8 gb from Costco when they go on sale, but I don't like those as much as the 4 gb because I think they actually hold too many picture. The funny thing was I was in a furious backup mode so I could finally delete some of those memory cards, I just hadn't gotten there yet.

Why did you have to check out and check back in?

I booked the first night on points and the last four on a member cash rate. On October 24th the member rate dropped to $150 night. How could I pass that up, plus even with my new contract I didn't really have enough points to book the whole stay with all my other trips.

The lodge is BEAUTIFUL! I totally want to go there now and I love love love your bird pictures.

I know you would love it because the resort and the island are both so unique and beautiful. Such a special place.

Do you use photobucket? You can download a photobucket app right to you phone and upload your phone pictures directly to it. That's what I do. Super easy!

Not one of my more brilliant moments, that's for sure. I am almost done editing some soccer pictures that I re-uploaded and then I am going to look for through my memory cards to find anything I didn't back up.

It really was a cool place. Perfect for its surroundings and done in the type of detail that only Disney can do.

I love the Spanish moss and its really not something I've ever seen. I mean - I'm sure I've seen it, but not to that magnitude. It's so interesting.

I'm so glad I saw her, too. I saw her later in the week, but she turned before I could get a good picture of her. What a great live she's had. No wonder she lived to the ripe old age of 15.

Shadow really is a girl and she really was found as a puppy in 1996 while they were building the resort.


And, I really can't believe it, but after 6 years on the DIS I am only 1000 posts away from 10,000.

What a fun tour with the birds I totally love anything to do with nature and it looked like a nice easy going tour. Looks like you saw lots of the long nozzled variety. LOVE the Spanish moss!!

Shadow is a doll. And totally not buying that she is 15. Ziggy is 10 and has an old man grey beard coming along nicely Actually not really but he does have two white whiskers My brothers dog is a retriever/chesapeake retriever the same age as Ziggy and she has a pretty white face. Like really white. Love the story though and can imagine that she gets a lot of attention from the guests. What a great place to live!!
