Why no refillable mug at BWa Belle Vue???

I love BWV and we just had a wonderful stay in September but I cannot understand why the refillable mug station is at the bakery. Belle Vue has room for a drink station. They could even put one at the bottom of the stairs right there. Going outside, especially in the rain, for coffee or soda is ridiculous when there is so much room in the resort.

I think that's an excellent idea to put one at the bottom of the stairs! I have purchased the refillable mugs, but when staying on the villa side it's a long walk from the room. Also after walking back from Epcot, I didn't feel like going all the way up to the room to get the mugs, nor did I feel like carrying around the empty cups at Epcot so I could stop and refill on the way back. It's just not a convenient option even though economical most trips.

It’s one of the things that stops me from a BWI stay. No food inside. Have to go outside on the Boardwalk for any QS or TS.

I agree with you. That is one of the reasons we won't stay there again.

Our first stay at BWV was in late February and it was COLD. It was misery having to go outside for food/drinks and it really colored my view of the resort (it's at the bottom of the list).

I haven't stayed there yet (arriving this Saturday), but the Boardwalk thread says coffee, coke, and sprite refills are available at the lounge. Is that out of date?

We've stayed there several times and I have never seen refills inside resort. You can purchase coffee at the Belle Vue but there is no refill area inside. Enjoy your visit - the resort is lovely!

You can get coffee in the morning for your refillable mugs at Belle Vue, there are two huge urns set up starting at around 7am.

The bartenders will fill your mugs with what they have at the bar. I should clarify, this unfortunately doesn't include the alcohol that they have at the bar! Just soda...

Last December we were able to get refills inside at the Belle Vue lounge. You don't have to go outside to the bakery. I guess that could have changed in the past few months though. You have to ask the people there but they'll do it. There was coffee in the mornings, too.

**editing to add that I just saw a previous poster mentioned the same thing! Sorry for repeat info

Looking at your signature I see you stayed at the Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Pop Century, and Port Orleans. If you don't want to stay at the BW that's your choice, but using the reasoning of not wanting to go outside for food doesn't make any sense when you had to go outside when you stayed more than once at the 4 WDW resorts just mentioned.

Drink stations are best managed when they are close to a food service. Since Belle Vue isn't staffed after breakfast it would be hard for them to keep it clean and maintained.

Thanks! Looking forward to our first stay.

That’s true enough. But at those resorts you only had to get to one main building for everything. I think at BWI the places are spread out all along the Boardwalk?
