Why no May for spring 2022 release?

Usually Disney includes the month of May in the spring releases (at least in recent years.) Does anyone remember them cutting it short in the past? The only thing I can think of is they're planning on adding the Wish in May??? Totally messes up our plans to move our current May Alaska 2021 to 2022 (I keep hearing Canada is going to keep the ports closed next year too.)

I am hoping for EBTA in 2022, so we were disappointed with May not being included. Besides our on board booking extends to end of May.

I think May has always been cut short in the winter month releases ending just before the EBTA and Med/Europe cruises and before Alaska (the Wonder ends in Vancouver so Alaska must be next).

Usually it cuts the end of May, includes the repositioning of the Wonder (which is now the Hawaii sailings), and the May sailings of Alaska. It also usually includes the EBTA but that's it - doesn't go beyond the EBTA. We also have another OBB that is being extended through May 22 but I have to move it by the end of this month. Given what a mess this is turning into and still no sailings, I may just let it go.

The EBTA is included with the summer releases

I sailed the EBTA in 2019 that started on May 12, 2019. I booked near opening day which was in March 2018. The October release in 2017 for early 2019 sailings went all the way to the 4 night Bahamas cruise on the Magic sailing from Miami on May 8, 2019 so in other words the last cruise before the EBTA. Those early 2019 sailings for the Wonder only went as far as San Diego in April, I don't think any of the Alaskan ones were included or even the Pacific Coastal that went from SD to Van.

So you should see it in the next release.

I wondered this too. Only runs to mid April for fantasy. I was hoping to book the end of April/beginning of May. So had to go back to the drawing board.

They have talked about sending two ships to Europe in the summer.

It's possible they want Wish to run the Caribbeans itineraries and send Fantasy (and Magic) over to Europe for the summer.

You all are right...I think I'm going crazy this year. They've run dates on the Fantasy and Dream later in May but not Alaska or EBTA. That would be amazing to have the Fantasy run Europe in the summer! I guess for May I'll be waiting for the summer release with every other Castaway Club member :snail:
