Why lime green?

Why is lime green the color associated with the DIS (ribbons, shirts, cookies, etc.)? I must've missed the story on this.

Unique, easy to see. Just selected as a good color to use, no special meaning.

Shannon, there was a poll and everything about whether we needed a color and what it would be.
I guess it was a slow day or something.

Ah. The poll might've been before I found the CB or before I really started dis'ing. For the first 9 months after I registered on the dis, I had less than 60 posts (probably less than 20 ). It took me awhile to start posting.

Hard to believe there was a DIS without browneyes!

Frankly I HATE LIME GREEN!!! It actually makes me ill to look at!

I've always had a slight aversion to color in general which is why I only wear black and white but nothing does it to me like LIME GREEN!!!

Green is my favorite color. Lime green is a little bright though.

Lime green is the color of Goofy's Hat. I always thought of that as the reason for the color... Isn't Tinkerbell's outfit lime green also???

Speaking of lime-green, my mom had my dad paint her kitchen cabinets lime-green. Well, when my dad went to the hardware store to mix the paint, the guy who was mixing it didn't believe anyone would choose to paint that color. My dad had to go home and bring a note from his wife, I believe.

Lime Green is catching on, K Mart just remodeled a store here and unveiled the new colors, lime green and grey. It is a prototype store. Hey maybe James Adamson is secretely a diser.
