Basically, what JB fans are doing is treating the Jonas Brothers as merchandise, not people. That's not fandom--that's consumerism. The Jonas Brothers are the prize, and they do whatever it takes to get their hands on the prize.
It's a messed-up system, but it's the system they've got going.
