why isolate certain subjects...........

Well, not Horizons, but definitely World of Motion and into Adventurer's Club! :thumbsup2

World of Motion might be worth it. Would it open up Wonders of Life so I could ride Body Wars for the first time since I became eligible to vote?

How many refillable mug wars do we really need?
How many can there be?

I really, really miss Refillable Mug Fights. It was the first fascinating thing I read on the DIS. Even though I didn't always post in them, I always read at least part of a Refillable Mug Fight.

Bygone days. End of an era. Woe is me.

I think there should be at least one a year.

One Mug Fight each year. How bad could it be to moderate one little fight?

so now that disney has gone and made all merchandise on property identical, does that mean i wouldn't be breaking any rules by refilling the mug (that i don't buy anyway, because i hate lugging that thing around) at a resort other than the one where i'm staying?

was that clear?

or was Mike saying that i need to bring my alpaca when i refill the mug..

these boards are getting as hard for me to follow as chat... harumpph...

I know that refillable mug, pool hopping, how many in the room threads added a few gray hairs to my head. Having them in a sticky is much better. :) :)

:thumbsup2
A rhetorical question is a figure of speech in the form of a question posed for its persuasive effect without the expectation of a reply Rhetorical questions encourage the listener to think about what the (often obvious) answer to the question must be. When a speaker states, "How much longer must our people endure this injustice?", no formal answer is expected. Rather, it is a device used by the speaker to assert or deny something.
i am glad no one took the thread as malicious:)

Alpaca poop normally softens any subject!

People shouldn't get heated over anything posted on these boards. As I'm sure many people do with my posts much of the time, just consider the source and don't read any further. Yes, people are passionate about Disney and things do get out of hand sometimes, but censorship is something that should be taken extremely seriously and only done as a last resort.

Ok Mike I have to ask, What is so special about Alpaca poop?

As long as you're not setting up a Photopass share or a stroller swap...

I'm going to start a thread with the best of both worlds...a Photopass Swap! (Just in case someone else's family is more attractive than mine, or they are having a better time @ WDW. :lmao: )

Ask Kathy, she is going to be an Alpaca Rancher.

but, I did learn this:

1. The alpaca is a ruminant with three stomachs; it converts grass and hay to energy very efficiently, eating far less (as a percentage of its body weight) than other farm animals.

2. Alpaca manure is lower in organic matter content than the manure from most other barnyard livestock (cows, horses, goats and sheep) but still has enough to improve soil texture and water-holding capacity. This lower organic content allows alpaca manure to to be spread directly onto plants without burning them.

3. It is the decomposition of organic matter content of the manure that indicates their efficient digestion system.

4. The nitrogen and potassium content of alpaca dung is comparatively high, an indication of good fertilizer value. Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium are the major plant nutrients. (They are the familiar N-P-K on fertilizer bags, N-P-K= 1.5-0.2-1.1) Phosphorus is relatively low as in most livestock manure. The Calcium and Magnesium content is about average.

5. South American Indians use the alpaca waste for fuel, and local gardeners find the alpaca's rich fertilizer perfect for growing fruits and vegetables.

6. A herd of alpacas consolidates its waste in one or two spots in the pasture, thereby controlling the spread of parasites and making it easier to collect and compost their fertilizer.

Please keep in mind that this is a privately owned discussion board.

By registering and logging in, you are agreeing to abide by the rules associated with posting on these "privately owned" boards.

If what you have posted does not meet the guidelines put in place by the owner, they will be edited or deleted.

This is not censorship.

You still have a right to voice your opinion, but that doesnt mean that someone else has to fund that right.

I often see posts regarding the right to free speech when people get their knickers in a twist over something removed from the Dis Boards.

It's here that I will post the text of the First Amendment:

1. Freedom of Speech, Press, Religion and Petition

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

I'm sure you will note that the Dis is not mentioned.;)

I figured this much was already obvious to most people when signing on to join, am I right? :upsidedow

Rules are needed for this place. It's huge! Consider the bandwith and cost it takes just to run it *_* I figure a little respect for the mods wouldn't be too big of an issue. But apparently it is to some?

I guess if you're that bent on freedom of speech over mugs, or alpacas or whatever have you, I strongly urge you to go create and finance your own alpaca mug war site.:rotfl:

Whatever. Who can even take this seriously? :dance3:

LOVE it!! I would totally participate in that. You never know when the kids will melt down...

Do you think Disney would let me use an alpaca instead of a stroller? Got to be cheaper to feed one than pay for stroller! :lmao: Just think... they could use the poop to fertilize The Land...

Alpaca poop normally softens any subject!
Good grief! I've been gone only two weeks and we went from cake vs pie to Alpaca poop to calm a thread down?!?!?

Love this!!! :rotfl:I should've thought about it before my Disneyland trip! I might have better pics!

I have nothing else to add except getting knickers in a twist cracks me up!

I know that some of the topics that get locked to a sticky thread on one board can be openly discussed on other boards at the discretion of the moderator team.

Some people are easily offended when people respond to them and it quickly becomes a flame war. Locking topics is a less stressful way to deal with it.
