When figuring prices tonight, the 7 day park hopper is $1 more for adult and $5 more for 3-9 year olds. Any ideas why? :confused3

maybe cuz most will stay a week (7 days) and figure if it's really cheap to stay another day, you'll still spend your money in the parks on souvenirs, food and your hotel room...either way...they're enticing you to stay and spend!! i'm sure someone else will come along and give their reasonings.......

I agree with Bubbas Mom....cheap on the tickets for a extra day, but Disney will make back there money plus more for the extra night you pay for hotel room and also your food.

people keep saying how good the prices are for the tickets and they there but are you willing to spend the extra night and food money, to me at all comes out in the wash.

Independent ticket wholesalers are free to set their own selling price on the tickets. Some choose to use a very narrow profit margin and make their money by selling a lot of tickets at a small profit rather than a few tickets with a larger margin. They are also free to offer "specials" on any of their tickets as well. The selling of Disney tickets is very competetive as you've probably seen from the many ticket posts on these boards.

Ultimately though, the answer to your question is because they choose to.

Ticketmania's 8, 9 and 10 day prices were lowered because a competitor, undercovertourist.com had them cheaper than the Mousesavers' special Ticketmania prices. Mary (from Mousesavers) contacted them to let them know and they lowered the prices. Unfortunately, I'd already bought my tix from Ticketmania but I'm glad that other DISers may be able to take advantage of their great deal.

Has anyone purchased tickets from undercovertourist.com?? Are they reputable?? They are $7 cheaper per ticket on 10 day-no exp. adult ticket.

I received my tickets last Friday. As I was ordering I noticed the difference in the price and decided to go with the 8-day. Now we can go to the park the day we arrive!! We're staying offsite and I was only planning to do DTD but now I'm going to see Spectro & Wishes!!!

I got my tickets about a month ago from Ticketmania and at that time the 7 day was cheaper than the 6. So I went ahaead and got the 7 day tickets and wound up just throwing away the extra day. Evidently they had too much inventory of the 7 day passes at that time. Oh well, I'll take it!

I called Ticketmania to ask about the difference between 7 and 8 day prices. I was told Disney didn't offer an 8 day and the vendors could discount them more.

That makes a lot of sense. Thanks everyone for the info :sunny: :goodvibes
