Why is July so open??

I figured by booking my trip with less than 180 days to go and in July when it's supposed to be packed we'd have very little ADR options open to us. Instead, I got tons of great ADR's. Today I realized I made a big mistake. I booked our 8am CRT for a EMH day! There goes the whole getting into the park early plan. On a lark, I thought...let's just see if I can switch my MK day with my HS day and still get all my reservations. Well, it was easy breezy...I got CRT, Liberty Tree, and the Fireworks party with no problem. Then at HS, I got Hollywood and Vine again for 8am and Sci-Fi with no problem. I got a new Chef Mickey for that evening too with no problem.

I've had such an easy time with these ADR's...too easy...it's making it so easy to switch things all around. I just can't stop myself!!

Wow I am jealous! We booked a last minute trip to DW in early June and I am stalking the reservations online to try to book a couple of things we want.

I hope your stalking pays off!!!! It is hard when you can't get what you want. That happened to us on our last trip in 2005. My dd's wanted CRT so badly but one never opened up for us.

I just think it's weird how June seems to be a tighter month than July...I wonder if the crowds will reflect that too??

Funny you posted this..I am visiting in July too and have been crazy with switching my ADRs...every time I have switched I have been able to get exactly what I want...including 8:00 AM CRT. Hopefully I am going on an "off" week....

Or I have just now jinxed it and I will not be able to get anything else from this post forward...

I'm sure it also has to do with no free dining.

wow I feel the same way. I have switched around biggies- I even saw some openings with ohana- Now I just released some of my duplicates since we finally have made decisions and reduced our stay from 9 to 7 days to save money but I got everything I wanted- I orginally made my ressies in Jan but I have been able to switch this week. Last year it was not this easy.

Lots of rooms still open as well- I am hoping for a smooth trip! Of course part of it is that the TOUR groups usually get cs that go during July so it can be busy but meals are easy.
