For me, when I found out about VMK, I thought, "Wow, my kids would really like that." Being the protective parent that I am, I was right there doing VMK with my DD when I first signed her up. Then I signed up DS. By then, I was hooked myself. You see, we parents, who love Disney, are big kids at heart, so what's not to love about VMK????
I am a mom here!! I joined before my kids ever did!! If I can't be in the REAL Magic Kingdom, the Virtual one is the next best thing!! Plus, it's a great place to hang out with my kids (now that they are on), my sisters, and my nieces too, not to mention all the wonderful Dis'ers on VMK as well!!
OMG! This is exactly the same for me! I wanted the park experience for not having been able to go there for so long. After I was thoroughly addicted (after what, maybe 3 minutes on it?!), I allowed my DS to sign up. I play more than he does, but then, it IS mom's computer!
Although I am old enough to be a mom, I don't have any kids so I feel it is my duty to still act like one! I think VMK is for Disney fans of all ages. But let's face it - if it wasn't for the money that older people make and spend, Disney wouldn't be able to operate, right? So although kids love Disney, parents pay for it.
There is no rule saying parents can't play vmk. Some like meeting fellow dis people, and some like the games. If everyone is allowed to play vmk, why can't parents?
