Why is it that ...

whenever you want to go out clothes shopping and say "OK, I'm going to really spend some serious cash on shoes and clothes" that you don't find a single thing in the stores?! But, when you have no money and/or shouldn't be spending, you find gobs of things that you love!?

I was prepared to burn a hole in my pocket from shopping ... but came home w/a 2 shirts that were both on sale. I didn't spend more than $20! No new shoes, no new pants w/coordinating tops, nothing else. I was prepared to do all my "back to school" shopping for me (as I'm a teacher) yesterday and walked out w/only 2 things. I am completely bummed b/c I know that when I find things, I'll be saying "I shouldn't buy these" and won't buy them.

I have the same problem. I especially hate when I return something and they give me an in store credit that I have to spend but never can find anything I want, then when I don't have money I"ll find a ton of stuff.
