For the past two years, it has been about $350 more to have the BB free dining package at a Moderate than at a Value (both with the regular TS DP). This year it is about $540 more to stay at a Moderate in a standard room. My length of stay, tickets, etc are all the same as the past two years. I am already taking the upgrade cost of the DP at the Values into consideration. What am I missing?

That's already in my calculations, as we get those every year and I am pricing both resort levels with the PH/WPFM tickets. Did the nightly moderate resort cost go up more than usual? Or could it be that there is less of an upgrade cost between CS DP and TS DP? If I had all the numbers from last year I could do an analysis. Something seems a bit fishy....

I just did a comparison of room rates for our trips in 2015 and 2016, looking at AS Resorts and POFQ (at rack rate). Turns out the Value resort increased $92.84 over a 12 night period, and the Moderate increased by $282.52. So, to stay with BB FD in a Moderate instead of a Value, someone would have to pay over 3 times as much of an increase from the prior year for the Moderate. It was a no-brainerin 2015 at about $350 more (including the DP upgrade cost at Values) for the POFQ. Not so much for 2016 at about $540 more for the Moderates that are included (not POFQ :( )

The increase in the Moderate room rate went up three times as much as the increase in the Value room rate. So sad, since we only took advantage of this in 2015, and probably would've jumped again in 2016...but POFQ is not included in FD 2016 anyway.... I guess I'll hope the public offer is more extensive if it is offered.

My BB at CSR went way up too. After investigating, I see that all the Aug/Sept. dates are now "fall season" pricing, no more "value 2 season". Changing the seasonal room price chart to a higher season for the moderates, coupled with the PH requirement (we usually just book basic tickets) and a normal room rate increase made our 2 week BB $800 higher for next year compared to this year.

We did book the BB, but are considering maybe cancelling for 2016. It's getting pretty costly to go at this time of year when we can count on 2 or 3 days being rained out, and the crowds are getting bigger too. This year the trip felt very different, been going during the Labor Day period since before the FD days.

My BB for next September stayed close to what we paid this year with fd at POR pool view. Strange. I'll post a picture when I get home. We booked 8 day tickets and PHWPM for a 9 night stay. Same as this year.

We booked at CBR in Sept in a standard room, and next year we have POR and its about the same give or take a little. We decided to upgrade to the RGR, but the standard pricing is about the same.
