"Why is everybody wearing plastic jackets?!" June 2013 TR NEW X3 1/21 COMPLETED

Hello all! I am terribly sorry for the lack of posting lately, these past few weeks classes I have just been getting into the swing of things and trying to manage my time but now I have plenty of time for Dis updates. So enough with the apology and time to move on to the more important matter of this post!

Eating Our Way Around The World! Day 3 (Part 6: I)

Before we could embark on our world adventure we need to stop at one of the stores right before you decide which way to go so that we could pick up Duffy and Perry! Jessica got Duffy and I got Perry.

It was still raining at this point and Jill and I were very disappointed because we had wanted to do Agent Ps mission around World Showcase but because of the rain they had closed the stations. I was so bummed.

After we had Duffy and Perry in hand we headed straight for Canada.

This is my only Canada picture, I was a bad Diser.

We looked around Canada briefly because of the ran, found the KidCot Station and then made our way to the United Kingdom in search of some shelter from the rain.

PLASTIC JACKETS!

We entered UK and ducked into the Toy Solider to find the KidCot Station, which we did! We also found two of our friends from the Hundred Acre Woods.

Jessica wanted to stop and meet Tigger and Pooh but we reminded her that we already met them and that we wanted to do everything we could before it rained too much.

Jessica was a little shy at first but she liked talking to all of the KidCot Station workers.

We said Cheers to the UK and bonjour to France.

I love France; it may be my favorite pavilion. When I was younger we stayed at the Beach Club and from our window we could see the top of the Eiffel Tower and as a six year old it was so extremely magical.

We saw this big group of women wearing the same shirts and Mom was curious as to what they said.

The front said Keep Calm and Drink Around the World Betches! and the back said 1 Bachelorette. 11 Countries. Aint Nobody Got Time Fo Dat! The Future Mrs. Blums Bachelorette Bash.

Everyone had the same shirt and they were with a big group of guys all dressed up in different costumes with silly props.

I thought that was the cutest idea ever. I was like well I know what Im doing when I get married!

We found the KidCot Station and said au revoir to France and headed into Morocco.

Our KidCot friend was named Youness, he was very nice and we talked to him for a few minutes, he wrote our names and Jessica thought that was extremely cool.

Again with the hiding!

Our next stop had been longgggg awaited&.

JAPAN &
AND&

KAKI GORI &

My goodness this is one of the most heavenly things Ive ever had. I just love it so much. I wish it came in Blue Raspberry though!

Oh the beauty!

Jessicas first Kaki Gori.

Mom and Dad stopped to watch the drum show that was going on while Jessica, Jill and I went to find the KidCot Station.

When we got back from our KidCot excursion, Jessica wanted to watch the fish.

We headed out of Japan and straight to the Funnel Cake stand in the American Pavilion.

Yum, yum, yummmmm!

Eating Our Way Around The World! Day 3 (Part 6:II)

Jessica and I headed over to the KidCot station and got our stamp and stayed and colored for a little.

After a few minutes of coloring we headed over to Italy.

Jess just checking out some pins.

We headed out of France and stopped in Germany to look at the little village.

Jessica really loved this.

We headed in the crowd in search of the KidCot station and eventually we found it.

While we were in the main area of Germany the bell tower ran and the dolls came out and did a dance, and Dr. Doof was in the mix! Must’ve been part of Agent P’s challenge, we were still a little bummed we didn’t get a chance to do that.

We left Germany and headed into China.

Tada

Jessica does the funniest poses.

We found the KidCot station and looked around in the process.

We looked at everything we wanted to in China and made our way over to Norway.

I’ve always wanted to eat at Akershus

We headed over to the KidCot station got our stamp and then made a stop at Maelstrom

This scared Jessica a little bit but there were no tears!

Then we stopped in the bakery to get the what I have been hearing so much about lately… School bread.

I am a reader of the Frump reports and ever since the Kristen first raved about School Bread I needed to try it. So if DisneyFreak616 ever reads this, THANK YOU!

On the left is a crème puff with fruit and on the right is School Bread. Oh my lord, the schoolbread! It is amazing everyone needs to try it! After eating our heavenly treats we headed over to Mexico.

We went on the ride in the Mexico pavilion and then we headed over to the KidCot station.

Jessica and this CM were getting along very well. In school this past year Jessica’s class learned basic Spanish. So I convinced Jessica to sing one of the song she learned.

“Uno, dos, tres amigos. Cuatro, cinco, seis amigos. Siete, ocho, nueve amigos. Diez amigos hoy!”

The CM told her that was very impressive, but Jessica was very shy. When we left Jessica turned to me and said, “That was embarrassing!” It was so cute and funny the way she said it.

After we completed our journey around the world, everyone wanted to head out except for Jill who wanted to stay and watch Illuminations. So Mom, Dad and Jessica headed back to the hotel and Jill and I stayed to watch Illuminations. They headed out at about 7:45 and Jill and I went to find a spot to watch from.

Mom said that when they got back to the hotel they went over to the food court and got dinner and they had a fun dinner and played the “I’m thinking of…” game and it was very, very funny.

Jill and I sat on the back side of one of the shops at the beginning of World Showcase.

Just sat and waited for the show to start. There was a group in front of us who had many young children and they were just letting them run wild and free. One of the climbed over the fence onto the lawn, a CM came over and asked them to refrain from letting their children do that. Then a few minutes one that was about two years old got its head stuck in between the bars in the fence. I kid you not. The same CM ran over to help. These people weren’t keeping a close eye on their children because the same child almost stuck its head back in the fence again… oh goodness.

At 9PM Illuminations started and we stood up.

I like Illuminations but Wishes will always be my favorite. We headed out before the big finally because we wanted to miss the crowds and get right on the bus because we were so extremely tired.

I took this as I was running to the bus and the finally was going off in the background.

It was 9:25 when we left the park, we got back to POR and made our way to the gift shop where I got a Minnie Mouse cookie and then over to the food court for some french fries. We were in bed by 11:00 and asleep with in minutes.

What a great tour around the World Grace. Sorry you had to miss out on Agent P though.

Ahhhhhhh Schoolbread. If not for the Frump reports, I honestly probably would not have known this existed. But because of them I tried it, and it is an absolute must do now! So good!

People in Disney just completely fascinate me. I always wonder if they let their kids act that way at home too. Crazy!

I'm with you, nothing beats Wishes.

Okay, you are the second TR update I've read in a row that has talked about school bread and how amazing it is. I've just made a note to make sure I try it in Epcot when we're there. Your picture of it looked YUMMY.

I love Illuminations too, but like you, I'll always be a Wishes girl at heart. Nothing beats Wishes for me. :upsidedow

Can't wait to read more!

Thank you! I was very bummed :( Gotta love those Frumps and their amazing finds! Wishes is the bomb!

You MUST try Schoolbread! It is absolutely delicious! Just talking about it now I wish I had one!

We love school bread! We got a sandwich from Kringla once too and it was pretty yummy!

I love all the pics of Jessica hanging out at the KidCot Stations!

I'm totally an Illuminations girl! We hardly ever watch Wishes but we watch Illuminations multiple times during our trips! Last July, we were running out of Epcot to try and beat the crowds, and someone we got off the beaten path and ended up in the parking lot instead of at the bus stops! I was like ummm where ARE we?? :rotfl2:

The bread looks delish.......now where is it? Norway? I want to try it!!

Yes it's in Norway! It's heavenly!!!

Fathers Day! Day 4 (Part 1)

Sunday, June 16, 2013

We woke up at quarter of eight and got ready for our non-park day. Since it was Fathers Day we made special breakfast plans!

We were out of the room and to the bus platform by 8:20. It was packed at the bus platform and we couldnt even get on the first bus. This had us a little worried because we did not want to be late for our reservations.

We were on a bus by 8:40 and ten minutes late we were at the MK. I know what youre thinking& Grace, you just said you were having a non-park day?! I know! We are! So we hopped on a monorail!

Por favor mantengase alejado de las puertas.

We arrived at our destination at 9:10. Right on time for our 9:20 ADR!

We headed over to the podium and checked in. We were seated by 9:30 and handed these beautiful menus.

KONA!!! Yay! None of us had been here before but I had heard amazing things about a particular dish& TONGA TOAST!

I ordered the LilikoI Juice and water to start.

The juice was amazinggg!

To pass the time we played with the pipe cleaners and Jessica did a puzzle.

Soon enough our food arrived.

Dads dish: Big Kahuna.

Those macadamia pancakes are absolutely amazing! :lovestruc

Jessicas dish: Mickey Cake

Mom and Jills dishes: Tonga Toast

My dish: TONGA TOAST :cloud9:

Yummmm!!!

We were all extremely satisfied with our dishes! Everything was so delicious!

After we finished eating, we explored the hotel and looked around in the shops.

Jessica found her first (not-so) hidden Mickey!

I dont remember what exactly we were doing in this next picture but I think we were being alligators, dont ask me though.:rotfl:

Nice fountain shot

The girls!

We hopped back on the monorail and headed to the Contemporary!

Up Next: Monorail, Boats, and Buses!!

My goodness Tonga Toast is something I hear about A LOT!! Sounds like it was as good as advertised.

Yes, you were clearly alligators. :thumbsup2

I love Tonga Toast, I need to have it every time we are in WDW. Love how you matched her dress with the letter, very cute.

Tonga Toast is just an amazing creation on Disney's part. Thanks!

Transportation A Plenty! Day 4 (Part 2)

It was almost 11:00 by the time we were leaving the Polynesian. We hopped on the monorail and made our voyage over to the Grand Floridian!

We got to ride on the Ironman 3 monorail and I was an extremely happy camper!

We enter the Grand Floridian and split up to wander around and take some pictures. Typical touristy stuff, you know.

Jessica made her way to the kids TV area. I love how the furniture is kid size, especially that couch. So cute!

I wandered down to the Mercantile shop and I was extremely excited to look at all the Lilly Pulitzer dresses they had! I had seen a few in the window and I had to go in and look.

After relaxing in the lobby and talking in the gorgeousness of the GF we made our way out. We decided to take a boat back to MK.

We walked through the courtyard/pool area to the dock. We boarded our boat and went on our way.

My love :lovestruc

So beautiful!

Our boat docked and we made our way to the PORS bus and headed back home.

We had the whole bus to ourselves so we let Jessica sit wherever she wanted. She was extremely happy about this!

She chose her seat all the way in the back of the bus

We got back to the hotel just after 12:00 and we decided it was naptime for us then we would go for a swim. We laid down for a nap at just about 12:20. We all fell asleep within minutes and didn’t wake up until 5:30! So much later than we were expecting! It was a much-needed nap however.

I tried to wake up Jessica at this point. I told her “Jessica it’s time to wake up.” She replied, “I don’t want to get up! I don’t like it cause it’s so hard!” It was so funny.

After a few minutes of convincing, she finally got up. We got ready to swim and headed over to the pool.

After swimming, sliding, playing, and hanging around the pool for a little while, we headed back to the room to change and get ready for our big night.

My aunt, uncle, and two cousin who live in southern Florida had come up and were spending the night and the following day with us!

We headed back to the pool and hung out with them at the bar there while everyone was getting ready.

Jessica wanted to play photographer.

Up next: Downtown Disney!

Every time someone reports visiting the GF, I'm still amazed that I've never been there. With a Christmas trip coming though, it's already pencilled in. Mostly to see the Gingerbread House. :yay:

OK WOW, that is a nap!!! But I agree, sometimes getting up is just hard! :lmao:

Parade Time Baby! Day 2 (Part 5)

I thought this was the funniest thing ever. Jessica wanted to take a picture with Tinkerbell like she had done in the magic shots earlier that day. It was so precious!

I thought this was precious so I had to add some Magic.:wizard: I hope you don't mind.

Finally getting caught up! Great update! I love Pool Days! And Jessica is right! Getting out if bed IS hard! :rotfl2: what a cutie!

It looks very nice and relaxing just what you need on vaca :lovestruc

It was! That nap was exactly what I needed!

I had never been before either! You have to take plenty of pictures of the Gingerbread house! In 2003, we stayed at the Hard Rock for Thanksgiving and they had a gingerbread Graceland. That was pretty awesome! Especially with my name being Grace haha! :rotfl:

It was very funny, my mom and I were about ten feet away standing in the middle of main street and we were cracking up. It was so cute!

Thank you! Glad you're enjoying!! Pool days are the best! We love to swim, we're like fish. Except for Jessica, she's like a rock :rotfl: She doesn't quite understand the swimming thing yet.
