Why is Crystal Palace so popular?

So why is the Crystal Palace so popular? It seems like there are a lot of people that love it. We've never been there, so I'd love to know why it is so popular.

I think the characters make it popular, it is one of the few TS places in MK and for breakfast you can get in the park early for an 8:05 am ressie and take pics on Main Street that is pretty much empty.

Plus the food is good!

Nostalgia - we started eating here when the kids were toddlers, now it's a tradition for us.

Try it for yourselves and you'll be hooked!! Charming atmosphere, Victorian setting, good food, Pooh and friends, photogenic location, be the first in the park with 8:05 AM reservations, great way to start your day.

We didnt really care for the food. For us, and by that I mean me... it was seeing Pooh. I am in my 30s and hugged Pooh and didnt want to let go. yeah, I get it was a human in there, but it was Pooh LOL! The restaurant is really pretty and the characters are really awesome.
We chose to do CRT this time around. But I too recommend doing the Crystal Palace atleast once.... who doesnt love Pooh????? lol

Wife and I did it for the characters. The food IMO for dinner was not anything at all special. But I'm more a plain type person, so IMO a lot of the food was too "herb'd" up. But the place it's self is cool and like I said, the characters were fun But we've got our pics now, and I dont think we'll be going back to CP soon.

I have only been there for breakfast
Reasons : no specific order
1, breakfast inside magic kingdom before park opens
2, Its really pretty inside and out
3, good buffet with omlete station
4, pooh and friends / interaction
5, never had a bad waiter/tress
6, breakfast is my fav meal of the day

The only thing I never liked was waiting oustide to get in with alot of people when its hot.

The decor is beautiful, the characters are adorable, and the food is excellent!

We have only ate there for dinner (twice) and have ADR's for CP at dinner twice this upcoming trip. It never even dawned on me to try breakfast... maybe next trip!

The atmosphere is just beautiful, especially early in the morning with the sun shining in through the windows.

The food is really good, with lots of great options to choose from. When we ate there everything was very fresh and delicious! Definitely try the puffed french toast if you go. The breakfast lasagna was yummy, too.

And the really big draw - the characters! The interaction we had was fantastic, and there were no kids in our party, it was just me (I would hug Pooh bear all day, every day if I could) and my very understanding DH. We actually had most of the characters come by and visit us more than once. Also, every twenty minutes or so the characters do a cute little parade around the restaurant.

All in all, it was a terrific experience and we'd definitely go again! I'd recommend trying it once, especially if you're fans of the Hundred Acre Wood crew.

Without a doubt, the only appeal to me is getting into the park at 8:05 or 8:10. Everything else is secondary and a distant second. CRT would be just as good but it costs twice as much.

They have an excellent dinner buffet as well. The salmon is to die for!! A variety of things to choose from and they also have a carving station.

We like the atmosphere and the characters are really fun for the kids. We've only been there for dinner (past 3 trips). Also, we've always had good service there and we like the food. IMO everything is good quality, fresh and tasty. The dessert selection is great. Yum!

I have eaten all 3 meals at the Crystal Palace - though not recently. My preference is for breakfast, then lunch, and then dinner. It's a very pretty restaurant with good food and great character interaction.

Characters, location, food - in that order, for us.

The food variety is good, and pretty darned decent for a buffet, IMHO.

Love getting an early breakfast ADR, and getting in while the park is still closed.

Also fun to get a late dinner res. at the CP and be in park after it closes to the public....we've done that and have some awesome pictures of JUST us on Main Street USA!

People who love Pooh and Friends will probably tend to go there to eat at least once. We like it because there are a lot of options and the characters are some of our favorites.

We go for lunch. Above-average buffet food and an air condioned break in the middle of the day is heaven in MK. Pooh characters are too cute and the little parade is fun.
