Why is it that we were able to get more than one reservation for lunch at CRT last year but breakfast is impossible? Is the experience any different? I am trying to make plans for this July so I have to make ADR's tomorrow.

Thanks for any help.

Its because you have the guarantee of seeing cinderella, plus and assortment of other princesses :)

I am not even trying for the breakfast in the castle. Last trip, we couldn't get a ressie at the castle for breakfast, so we went to the one in Epcot as a backup. This year, we are going to try for the Crystal Palace character breakfast instead. NOt sure if we will try for the castle for llunch.. it has gone to 2 table service meals for the dining package.. not sure it's worth it!

Alright so breakfast is really nothing special, no show or anything? We got in for lunch last year and Cinderella was there in the lobby and during our meal we saw Wendy, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Belle...I think that is it. We had a great time but we really did not have trouble getting the reservation and breakfast just seems impossible to get in to.

Thanks for the info, I wanted to make sure before I went crazy trying to get this reservation. :flower:

Let's put it this way... I think the breakfast's are overpriced. They are all you can eat, which a plus for them, but my girls aren't big breakfast eaters. The Princess Breakfast in Norway didn't have a huge selection for them. My oldest was able to eat a muffin, eggs and bacon, but my youngest only had bread. She is a cereal/bagel eater. The only reason why we even did a Princess Breakfast was for the girls. They really wanted to meet all the princesses. But that was pretty much, been there, done that, now.

I would say that part of the thrill is starting your day off with princesses. That can be very special for yonger kids. That being said, we didnt even try for breakfast at the castle. We booked a late lunch there and used the morning time to catch some must doi rides before going to lunch with the princesses

Two practical reasons for the popularity of breakfast would be that it is (a) cheaper, althought not by much, than lunch or dinner, and (b) can be done before the park opens so you loose no park time and you are closer to Fantasyland when it opens. Also, Princess lunch at the castle is still fairly new and some might not even know it exists yet.

I prefer the lunch, personally, because the breakfast slows down your park time. I booked our lunch for a time when we were going to be leaving the park anyway (the busiest season, so had to leave around noon or go crazy), and that way, you would leave the park with a great experience under your belt. Food was good, too, and character interaction was wonderful (pics with Cinderella, 5 others at lunch, kisses for DH from FGM!).

Okay thanks for the opinions. I loved the lunch last year and would consider doing the lunch again this year. I just wanted to make sure we were not missing anything by not going to the breakfast. :wave2:

I just love getting responses from other people who have been in the same shoes.
