Why is BLT's pool closed to pool hopping?

We just spent a week there and frankly, we enjoyed the pool- but it is NOT that amazing of a pool- I mean its not SAB. Why on earth is this one closed to pool hopping? I'm just curious.

It is too small to handle the guests at BLT let alone additional guests. It has a size limitation based on land available.

It is a smaller area. We went over the the CR several times to use that pool, definately more room there.

I think the concern was the size plus the security that was added to BLT when it opened. I suspect the added security was due to the resort's proximity to MK.

I vote for size and exclusivity. DVD marketing used the restriction to get people to buy there just like they did with TOWL.

I too thought this might have added to the decision. But, I also wonder if the new mantra will be that the new resorts will be restricted. I have a feeling the GFV pool will be off limits as well.

Pretty much every new resort since AKL has had pool hopping excluded.

Long hot day at MK with cranky kids who want to cool off = BLT is close so go there to swim then back to MK.

My vote is proximity to MK but I guess exclusivity works for some too.

I'm SURE the GFV pool will have no pool hopping - you can see it from the monorail, and it is SMALL.

Even A of A is closed to hopping. All three pools have fences around them too! Which we why we bought points at BCV....they used to have problems of people coming out of EPCOT to swim...we did love being able to come for an afternoon swim at BLT when we stayed our first night there this summer...not quite enough to buy points there...at least not yet...want hubby to experience VWL to see his thoughts on which one for a small add on. Not if...just which.
