Why is art of animation excluded from free dining?

I wasnt planning on booking FD anyhow, as we are DVC with Annual passes, BUT we really really want to stay there for 3-4 nts there in either a Cars or Nemo suite as the resort looks sooo cool and our son is a huge fan of these movies... before moving over to BCV for 6-7nts. I was hoping an AP room discount would come out we could use for the Art of animation portion of trip, but if it is excluded from FD I'm wondering if it will be excluded from all discounts? :confused3

Most likely not included because its new and thee is no need to offer discounts to fill it up

The family suites at ASMu aren't either. I'm not sure the suites at AoA will ever be included for FD.

I didnt know that Ive never tried to stay in a family suite - are the family suites ever included in a room only discount? I am hoping to use a room only discount anyhow, I just saw that it wasnt included in FD so was wondering if it wasnt going to be included for any special offer.

First, it's only partially open, so there aren't as many rooms involved. Second, it's new, so it may be booked up just due to the novelty factor and they don't need to have a discount to fill it up. Third, it's all suites right now and they may not be including the family suites in the current offer if they are already popular enough to be booking up.

Free dining is only there to help fill rooms where they are having trouble doing so.

Not all rooms or resorts are always included in on the FD. All part of the marketing ploy to bring people on property. AOA had people wanting to make reservations as soon as it was announced.

I wouldn't say that they will never be included in discounts. AOA were available to book via bounceback FD. I got a quote (but booked POR instead) and a friend of mine booked AOA .

Im hoping it will have some discount available - I have a good friend who is a salaried CM and she has said I can use her friends & family discount, but it hasnt been stated whether that can be used for AoA yet. Crossing fingers!

I'll tell you to ask the CRO CM to price it out. I do all of my pricing ahead of time to make sure they are giving me the right quote. I had been told by CM's that the royal guest rooms at POR were not eligible for the military discount, because they are new...I asked her to price it out, and lo and behold, the discounted package price came up...she still insisted that it wasn't discounted, but I had already run the numbers, plus it was a package for room and dining only, which is obviously military price. Those CM's I tell ya....they try hard. :upsidedow
