Why is a 10 year old considered....

Nobody is jumping on disney about this one disykat, it just surprises me that the same company considers a child as an adult at age ten for one area but for others at age 12. Truthfully I have seen young kids eat more than adults sometimes , and adults eating less than kids , I know that's not the norm but you would think that they would make one adult age set for everything, not just certain things, that's JMO.

Guess I won't be going back for a looooooooooooooooong time if I have to pay full price for my 10 year old! He's been a tall kid all along and has always gone on everything. No difference for him now. And he could eat as much as an adult. When we go out for dinner, he'll end up with 2 kids meals!

different ages for different things is quite normal...

In Pennsylvania, you can own a Bar and serve alcohol at 18...but until you turn 21, don't drink it...don't even spill some on your hand and lick it off, or you can lose your liquor license for serving a minor...LOL

at age 18 you're old enough to own a rifle, and you could walk down the street with it in plain sight,,but you can't own a handgun 'till 21...


most states you must be 16 to drive, but go figure....you could fly a plane at the age of 12....LOL

Who knows why they pick 12 for the food though, my guess is that is about when they think a kid would eat the same amount of food as an average adult... which would be why the DCL considers them adult prices then too (since they really aren't paying extra for the room, just for the food).
