I was double checking all my information for my September trip. Each of my kids had 4 credits in their accounts. 2 credits from each account were going to expire in February. So in January, I used all the credits in their accounts for upgrade certificates. I also did the same in my account so my entire family could have an upgrade.
When I went to check the accounts today - the credits had not been applied. They each had 2 credits left in their accounts and each had 2 credits that had expired. I am sure it was user error on my part and I did something wrong while applying for the upgrades. My upgrades had gone through though.
But I still decided to throw myself at their mercy. I called and explained to the agent what I had meant to do and that somehow I had failed. Without missing a beat, he told me that he would reapply the credits to their accounts and convert them to upgrade vouchers. I was on the phone for less than 10 minutes and he had it all taken care of.
They certainly didn't have to do anything for me but they did. I find that they are always like this when it comes to customer service and it is why I will always fly them. Even if it means risking a schedule change.
