Why I am NOT even considering selling my DVC until at least 2022

Here's the part I'm struggling with: when do I use the bulk of my points? It's going to take multiple days per trip in order to get fastpasses for some of these rides, so I can't just go for 2-3 days per trip. (I have little kids who wouldn't be able to handle 3 hours standby waits).
These are the fun problems that keep my mind busy at night. It's a fun life I live.

That's the beauty of DVC you don't have to do it all on one trip because you know you will be back. It took us 3 trips before we rode the 7DMT. After waiting all that time I had to wonder why the lines where so long, the ride doesn't last that long. Also the ride is good but it's not all that to create such a backup.
Now Flight of Passage on the other hand is an amazing ride IMHO and I can understand the wait and draw to that ride. Again it took us several trips to experience that ride but it was definitely worth the wait.

Certainly not waiting until 2021! I expect four trips in 2020, but not super long ones. They are all paired with cruises. 2021 I will be aiming for longer trips!

See I can see SDMT because you always get a good seat. I couldn't imagine sitting in line for 2 hours and then being put on the edge of the simulator. If you are in the middle it's an amazing ride if you are on the far sides its going to have a slight distortion and will cause eye strain or sickness for some.

Same here! We are trending toward longer trips, so we can get FPs for various of the Tier 1 attractions at EP and HS.

I have only done FoP once, I didn't realize there is a difference in what you see based on where you sit. I think I was on the outer edge on the left hand side, I thought my view was really good. Since I have no basis of comparison I will have to take your word for it. I hope to ride it again in Jan so maybe I will get closer to the center to see what you are talking about. Until that time I still think this ride has it all over 7DMT, just MHO. :thumbsup2

Oh every view looks good to the random person. What happens though is its just very slightly disorienting to the rider if further out from the center.

It's still a great ride but for me personally it just a knock as I don't find it as great when on the very outside. I am also not going to ask to be seated somewhere special which is my own fault. Hence why I only do it FP+ but that's the same for 7DMT anyways as well.

I don't know why I did it, but the last time I rode it, I looked up, down, left, and right. Now the ride is forever ruined for me. Take my advice and only look forward if you go on it.

Yea I don’t get the hype for 7DMT, BTMR is a better ride IMO and easier to get a FP for. The wait for Peter Pans Flight just completely blows my mind, what are those folks thinking? :rotfl2:

Just watched the video ... We are "only" planning 1 trip to WDW in 2020 (and 1 trip to DL in 2020), but we may have to make more than 1 trip in 2021!

I will keep this in mind the next time I ride. Unfortunately you have now planted the idea of looking up, down and all around! :thumbsup2

It's kid friendly, "classic", and unique. Plus I'm sure there are people who think "well, if the line is this long, then the ride must be good"

I love the Peter Pan ride, it's a classic. I agree that I wouldn't wait in the ridiculously long lines that form at that ride but if I have a FP or the wait is short I will definitely do this ride.

This is similar to Soaring, the best viewing is center top. It's all good but that is the best IMHO. :)

Supposedly the new standby queue is good, but we have never done it. It *is* classic (I remember as a kid being fascinated by how they had moving cars when flying over London), and my kids still think it's really cool. So we burn ONE MK FP on it. (Enchanted Tales w Belle, otoh, they could do over and over again).

I was also on the last vehicle on the left, no problem with distortion. The only ride I've seen distortion on is Soarin, if you're on the outside seats the Eiffel Tower is shaped like a C. FOP was perfect.

Peter Pan is classic! We only do it with a FP! Our DSons were small in the 1980’s, one loved Peter Pan, the other Figment. Those are must do’s for us and our DGC who love to hear what their parents loved when they were young.

DH and I did ABD in DL before the west coast MC this year. DL’s Peter Pan is even better! It was a must do ride for our ABD group, along with Soarin, Matterhorn, and Cars.
